I didn't know where to post this,
HTML https://www.foodandwine.com/whole-foods-limited-edition-thanksgiving-pie-8738079
and it occurred to me that this might be a useful thread.

I agree it's very expensive. But I like to see things like this
because it gives me ideas I could try to make at home.

Hey, it's a limited edition!
I wonder if it comes with a certificate of authenticity?
edit: No, but it does come with a ceramic keepsake pie plate.
So you're probably mostly paying for that.

Ok, around $30 for the pie and $30 for the plate sort of makes
some sense. Still, I won’t be buying it.

Wow. Okay, I haven't tried The Pie but I can't imagine it
coming out very well. I freely admit that while I make a pretty
good pie, I'm not an actual pastry chef. But there's just too
many different flavors going on in the same pie. And freezing
does not do any pie filling any favors.

My favorite pie (actually it's a tart) has all these flavors and
I think it’s a pretty standard combination - cranberries,
apples, nuts, raisins, orange peel.

I think the pie sounds great. Not $60 great - but great.

There's also the handy wooden storage crate. Does that make the
price more appealing?
