If you're not, people are gonna think you are. :-)
Although Irish and Protestant would be a candidate, as well.

Melinda's a weird name. I'd avoid it.

This is common. I have a lot of people that I thought were great
friends. Until we didn't work together.

I'm extremely clueless and I think maybe as a result I'm just
less likely to (a) notice and (b) take things personally.
It's just so seldom about "you" specifically.
I'm sorry, though. I get that you feel sad.

I guess I don't know a lot about Judaism then because I wouldn't
think Jewish if I heard Asher. I'd think hipster.

When I was on phone tech service many years ago, I was talking
to a native Puerto Rican. He had a Spanish first name, but an
Asian last name, and one of the heaviest Spanish accents that I
have heard. Obviously we felt comfortable talking about it.
His parents worked in PR, and that is where he was born. I
don't recall anything else, but I am presuming that he was
competent at his job or I probably would have remembered that as
well.
GRIN, I remember the more challenging ones.
