This is a person who looks for a reason to be butt hurt. You
know not everyone has a camera.

I think the LW from the other day who instituted a 2021 travel
ban needs to set something similar for 2022 and beyond. Maybe
not an outright ban because it can be fun for the kids to go to
their grandparent's house and it's reasonable to reciprocate in
some fashion. But this every other week thing was way way way
unbalanced to the point it's not fair to the kids or her
husband.

I'll admit there's one woman at work who rarely turns her camera
on and it makes me batshit. But the truth is I already don't
like her.

Having been on the end of some last-minute "we'll be in your
area" invitations, I had enough trouble sorting through the
choices and I didn't have children and a pandemic to deal with.
Add in that this is not a "we want to see you guys" invitation
it's a "we're seeing other people and would like to see you guys
at the same time" invitation. Both of those make it an informal
invitation in which one would think there'd be no expectation
that it would work and great joy in the serendipity if it did.

Agree. She totally yada yada'd the crazy amount of travel it
would take to see these people regularly. That, plus major time
zone differences that will make live communication really
challenging. The deck is kind of stacked and it's going to take
a concerted effort to make this happen. Adjusting expectations,
the answer to 90% of Hax's letters.

I'd hate to live in their house. I for one, hasn't a single
blank wall in my apartment.
When I had a Skype job interview, I found an area that didn't
reveal too much, but my standard location has some nice, but
very religious art work in the background.
