Looks like a really good chance to see the aurora tonight - mojo
for clear skies!

I missed it in May, but friends who live a few miles south saw
the show. All of the north part of the lower 48 should be able
to see it if skies are clear.

We did see it last night! I’ve always wanted to see the aurora
and never had, even while in Iceland. It wasn’t shimmering last
night but the color was beautiful![attachimg=1]

This photo was from the FB page of a town we like to visit about
an hour south of us.[attachimg=1]

I didn't see it but apparently 10 miles northeast of me was
splendid. I'm so jealous. Cross your fingers that tonight is the
night for me.
If not, I'm going to enjoy it vicariously through others'
gorgeous photos (and pout a little).

I had to look at it through my iPhone’s camera to see the colors
my eyes apparently couldn’t. With my naked eye, it looked like a
faintly pink cloud.

Yeah, I did that with my phone around midnight. There was a
faint purplish glow but nothing like what others saw. Darn.

My sister in Kentucky was even able to see it. I drove out into
the farm country last night in an attempt to see something. It
was clear overhead, but the horizon was clouded up. Nothing I
could detect.

Same here [member=140]Tryp_OR[/member], I saw nothing but a
clouded up horizon to the north.
