AI output might start corrupting the data set used to create tha
       t very output

An article from the NY Times discusses how, as AI output becomes
more and more prevalent and harder to detect, there is a
possibility of the output text or images being used by the AI
models to generate new output. This can have a corrupting
effect, sort of like the game of Telephone.

We're doomed to a future where no one knows anything for sure
unless they've seen it it the real world with their own eyes.
And another tangential thought -- are there already AI generated
videos of impossibly cute kitten hijinks? Or is that still a
       little too computationally expensive?

that was a really interesting read: the great graphics clearly
illustrated that images/text based on AI-generated content
degrade over time. talk about unintended consequences in the
future....sheesh. the russians wont even have to bother
interfering with our elections: our own bogus AI content will
       do that for them.
ps. confess i've not been keeping up with AI issues bc i'm way
too busy watching cute kitten vids. even tho i've never
actually seen a real live kitten in real life, those videos just
have got to be true. no fake news there!
