Which one was drugged?
That does look sweet. Maybe there is peace on the horizon.

The shelter finally posted Harley's profile.
They did not use any of the photos I sent, which one person had
said they would. They used the old ones and one they took after
I brought him back.
They also did not use any of the info I sent on his personality,
even though they said they would. They used one of their
standard profiles, and it does not reflect what he's really
like. Although they do often update the profiles later on, so
I'm hoping that they provide any potential adopters with clearer
info so he can find a forever home.
I returned the trap I borrowed from the other shelter yesterday.
Wasn't able to catch Thing 2. They said some become very
trap-savvy. Thing 2 was always the most elusive, but I'm hopeful
that I might be able to catch him another time. And of course I
"looked" while I was at the shelter, and of course I saw one who
pretty much stole my heart. I did not bring him home. I might,
but I wanted to discuss it with Mr. (who said 'why?' to which I
replied, because I want your opinion even though, yeah, I do
kind of do what I want when it comes to cats. 🥴) The
shelter says he's very friendly and very laid back. Came in as a
TNR, was already neutered and they deemed him friendly enough to
be adopted. He was adopted and returned the next day (!) because
the guy thought there was something wrong since he was so calm.
That guy had also returned a cat before him who was more like
Harley and left him with tons of scratches.
🤷‍♀️ Maybe some people aren't meant
to be cat owners. Anyway, I wanted to sleep on it, think about
it. I also forgot to ask about his eating habits - if he eats
like a normal cat or like crazy Harley.
Meanwhile, Mia is a happy cat. She's enjoying not being chased
when she has her zoomies. She's snuggling more.
Just for funsies, here are a couple pics of the guy I saw. Why
am I always attracted to oranges? 😊 (I had met a sweet
white and grey girl with one green and one blue eye, but didn't
take her and she did get adopted by this past weekend.)
I know you know that I'll keep you posted if (when?) I get
another kitty.

Aaaaand - it looks like Harley got adopted! He's no longer
listed on the website. I'll follow-up via text to confirm (they
told me I could).
I hope it's a good match for him. 🤞
ETA - adoption confirmed. A woman adopted him. The shelter guy
might be able to provide more info in a few days, not sure what
other info he could give me, but I'm happy to know Harley is in
a home. I do hope they have some outdoor space for him, that was
his favorite place to be.

Yeah, I knew I should have waited before posting pics of Hogi.
He got adopted. Not shocked.
I should have taken him on Sunday and then asked Mr. for
forgiveness rather than permission!

Give poor Mia time to recover.
But orange cats are awfully sweet and tempting.

Yeah, that’s why I hesitated-for Mia. But a couple people at the
shelter said he was super laid back, and I am regretting that I
didn’t take him on Sunday. But it’s ok. I’ll get over it. The
most important thing is that fur babies get good homes. Even if
it’s not mine.

I’d be concerned that Mia might reject any new cat for a while
no matter how laid back. Giving he4 stability right now might be
the best gift you can give her.

Intellectually I know this! Which again is why I didn’t bring
him home initially. But still- my heart wants another even
though my head says that we’re good as we are. I should just
stay off the shelter sites for a while. 🥹l
I do appreciate your thoughts and opinions.
