Harley is an exceptionally handsome fellow. Maybe that's what he
was saying into the mirror - oh look at you you handsome
fluffer.
And he seems to like being called Handsome Harley. 😁
(If I wrote that before, my apologies for repeating it)
Since the Facebiter currently looks like he lost at least three
fights with himself (because he kind of did), I will even say
he's as handsome as the Facebiter - which is the biggest
compliment I can pay a kitty :)

Harley had his first visit with my vet (who, btw, said he was
impressed 😊).
Yes, he has an upper respiratory infection. Got a shot and some
antibiotics for me to administer.
He weighed in at 11 lbs 6 oz. Shelter thought he was overweight.
He doesn't look overweight to me. Vet just said "he's solid".
Vet pegs him as probably being born in June 2022, so I'm
thinking about using my dad's birthday, 6/19, as his. I have to
think about that. He does have some slight tarter on his teeth,
but vet said there's no rush, no worries. We can address that
sometime down the road.
Basically, I think I have a winner this time.

Harley was released from his isolation tonight. His cold is much
better, and we felt bad keeping him closed in for so long- 2
weeks tomorrow.
He’s a little unsure about the whole house, and hissed at Sasha,
ran away. He’s a bit jumpy. But at the same time, he’s been
pretty responsive when called, and is showing signs of adjusting
and getting more comfortable.
Mia is m.i.a. Haven’t seen her since he came down. She doesn’t
seem to like change.
Meanwhile, Mr is falling in love/fell in love. Harley is a very
affectionate cat.
@VanGoghSunflowers - he’s not a facebiter, but he has nibbled on
my hand and arm. And the other night, Sasha chomped down on my
nose. I thought of you immediately. 🙂

PS - the first meds for his URI weren’t working so I had brought
him back to my vet last Sunday. He gave Harley another injection
and gave me a different antibiotic for him. That one has worked.
Yay!

It's not like the Facebiter started chomping down on my face
right away. The whole reason I love the facebiting is that it
only started happening when he was comfortable and happy at home
enough to be snuggling on my chest - it's his way of saying
"okay, done cuddling now, thanks" - so much so that even now, I
know he's forgiven me for his latest vet visit or meds or
whatever when he resumes biting me in the face.
So what I'm saying is there's still hope!

Let him out last night. He was a bit overwhelmed, but did his
exploring. He’s not too happy with the girls, yet. Hissed at
Sasha. Mia finally showed up this morning (breakfast is a
priority).
I had planned to stay home today, but was supposed to be in
office, and since the girls were respecting his space, and there
was no fighting, I went in, and left him out rather than close
him back up. There’s plenty of room for them to avoid each
other.
🤞🤞

Oh! And this morning, Mr was doing his push ups:
Push up, go down, kiss Harley who was in his face.
Repeat
Repeat
Repeat
Pretty sure Mr is 100% in love.

Tell Mr he hasn't lived until he's tried to do yoga with an
affectionate cat who wants to join in (RIP, Floof... the
Facebiter mostly gets annoyed by much space the yoga mat takes
up). It's like goat yoga, but you don't have to pay anyone to
bring goats in.
