Ohhhh! You found your orange boy! Or did he find you?
Either way... congratulations and welcome to the fam, Harley. <3

I found him. One of my ‘hobbies’ has been looking at available
cats online, mostly at two shelter where we’ve adopted before.
Now I have to delete all those bookmarked pages! No more
looking. (Yeah, uh huh, sure)
6 years ago I wanted an adult orange boy. We got 6 month old
tortie Mia. Then 5 years ago we got orange kitten ollie, but as
you know, he’s with son.
So far Harley has been a very good boy, and used his litter box
properly! We did a foster and trial adoption during the last
year, both failed. I think this one is the winner. Hopefully the
introduction to the girls will go smoothly. They recommend 2
weeks separation, but we’ll see.

Yes, I mean... did he purposely select that shelter to hang out
at, knowing you would be coming along?

Well, I wish he had selected the one in Nassau county. It’s
closer, a much easier drive, and would have cost me less. Not
that he was expensive, but I get free adoptions at the Nassau
shelter. And I had to pay the bridge toll. 🙂

Fun fact: Harley-Davidson was started by some locals and is
headquartered in Milwaukee (my hometown).
One of my relatives (cant recall his name: my sis is the fam
genealogist, not me) was tangentially involved in the start-up
process and provided Harley and Davidson with some funding: as
repayment, he opted to take $3K in cash vice stock in the
company  ::)
Anyway: I think that makes me eligible for platinum card fur
auntie status to Our New Boy
:D 😻
