       It seems odd to me that an animal so dense it can’t swim would
       be mostly found in the water.
       I guess they don’t know they can’t swim so are not worried about
       drowning.

       They do move extremely quickly - on land and in the water.  They
       look adorable, but they do attack humans, often fatally.  They
       have even capsized boats, resulting in many casualties.
       The rule is, no matter how 'safe' they appear in the river, etc,
       keep a considerable distance from them! Their speed is amazing.
