I have a 9 year old great nephew who loves cricket and plays it
as often as he can. He wants to be a national team player.
He and his Dad have traveled to see matches.
I bet he could translate for you.

On a tour of England our intrepid tour guide decided we needed
to play cricket, at least once. So he spent half an hour
explaining the game. Half a day would have been a minimum. I
had one at bat and did not hit the ball, which is just as well
because I would have had no idea what I should do if I did.
I wanted to honor the game by sitting on the sidelines drinking
tea. In honor of Englishness, I could even put milk and sugar
in it, but nooo.
