       Fawns are here!

I’ve tried to post short vids of our new babies, but too many mb
apparently. They’re a wk or so earlier than usual here in SW WA.
So far, 1 doe has 1, seen 2 eves go, and another has 2, seen at
0700– (brand new, still wet and wobbly, and running about 5 mins
later!) I’ll try to get a plain photo and post it next time
they appear. I like the vids better as they tend to be near
camouflage like woods or wood chips, so are hard to see. And I
expect the other 2 pregnant does hanging around have delivered
or will shortly. 🦌 This is such a gift to see them!
Now we’ll worry bout them the next few months.

Indeed, I have some early fawns too, but I haven't seen them
yet. I have seen one of my regular does out on my walks (she
has a notch out of her right ear so I know I am seeing the same
doe), and she has given birth this week (probably twins), but
she has not brought the fawns out with her when she grazes the
infield of the track yet. Full moon this week, so I am not at
all surprised to know there were a few fawns born this week.

Of course! The full moon 🌝! I didn’t even think of that!
We also have a doe with a notch out of its ear, so I guess yours
migrated! I call her “the torn ear mom”. Damn barbed wire! We
took it all down on our property a few years ago so deer could
       navigate better.

Ah, the full moon. I missed it. And I didn't know it affects
       animal births.
My friend, who is a retired labor and delivery nurse, said her
hospital increased staffing during full moons.

We saw deer and a fawn on our walk yesterday before twilight.
They stepped out of the trees onto the trail near us. With the
sunset reflected in the lake behind them, it was a pretty
       magical moment. :)

I saw a doe out with two fawns on my walk this morning, but she
was too far away for photos or to see if the doe had a notch out
of her right ear. Not sure it is the same doe I saw before.
