I tend to save a large percentage of my f bombs for bears
football.

I hardly ever swear. It's all OMG HE CAUGHT THAT and gleeful
derisive INTERCEPTION!! and of course FUMBLE!! along with the
usual instructions like "Follow your blocker!

I have been a devoted baseball fan and, in particular, a Padres
fan for many, many years. Given that this was supposed to be the
year we contended in the NL West, and given that the way they
have been playing since the ASB would make a maggot gag, I
seriously can't watch baseball any more. At least until the
playoffs, when the Giants will destroy the Dodgers.

I, too, would prefer to see the Giants win it all. My sympathies
on the Padres' struggles.

I really don't understand the Padres
I have been disengaged from the baseball since late July anyway.
Will be pulling for Kris Bryant, I guess. Or I have white sox
friends who are really engaged, so maybe root vicariously for
them.

I know a bit about the Padres--enough to know there was a
disagreement between teammates the other day, and that Darvish
has had a rough year (though not why that is).
I am watching the White Sox-Tigers game right now. Go Tigers.
I'll root for the Sox in three circumstances:
1) if it'll help the Cubs/Tigers
2) they're playing the Yankees
3) they make the World Series (and the Cubs aren't their
opponents).
I won't know for sure for whom I'll be rooting to win it all
until the playoff games begin.

If you hate them you will still hate them. Oldest was cracking
up about 85% of the time because he got every one of the
football jokes.
