I had to follow the Bengals end of game on my laptop while
       watching Saints and Packers.

And I ended up not watching the end of the Saints game. Will
have to look up how Jordan Love looked.

All four NFC North teams lost today.

       Food for thought:
  HTML https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/breaking/ct-chicago-cubs-kyle-schwarber-kris-bryant-20210912-hcbjhjvw7zb7naevoq6fypjxra-story.html
Speculation from Paul Sullivan about where ex-Cubs will end up.
Please note that I think he's wrong on several counts.
Reunions with the Cubs are unlikely to be forthcoming,
though--not after how things went down.
I'd like to see one player not mentioned--Nick Castellanos--back
in a Cubs uniform! And he seemed to love it here.

Welp, Jones wasn't an embarrassment, at least, not after his
first "pass" attempt. We were pretending to know what McDaniels
was telling him on the sidelines as he showed his new QB photos
of the drive: "See, *this* direction is towards *our* goal.
That's bad. You wanna throw the ball the other way, 'mkay?"
I'm really enjoying these young QBs and frankly I'll be glad
when the old guard has all retired. Bring on Mayfield and
Mahomes and all of the rest of the kids!
Also: did anyone else think that in the Subway ad with Brady the
hoagie roll emerging from whatever that thing was seemed a
       little, well, phallic?

My main thought about the Subway Brady ad was, "I have seen that
guy's face far too many times over the past few days."
I like the T-Mobile ad featuring Rob Gronkowski, though.
It'd be kinda funny, in a way, if Aaron Rodgers had a lousy
season, and then had no good teams bidding for his services when
it was over! Would serve him right, after all of the drama over
       the past year.

The Red Sox are in a three way tie for the second wild card
       spot.
       Yippee?

The Cubs won their game last night, and that was nice, but I was
more thrilled to see that the Tigers managed to beat the
Brewers, 1-0, in extra innings after a lengthy rain delay.
