So, who's watching "Squid Game?" Thinking about it, but heard
it's fairly intense and violent. But the reviews are excellent.
       :)

I watched the first episode. But didnt really feel compelled to
       continue, despite the raves.
I dont mind violence (esp when it's cartoonish like this), but
none of the characters grabbed my interest.
From what I saw, the main character (in the 1st ep, anyway)
doesnt seem particularly intriguing or compelling: not enough
for me to keep with it.
So, I ditched SquidGame & watched BladeRunner instead !

Squid Game Update: I got bored with other stuff, so went back
to it. Glad I did, because it got more intriguing over time.
Despite a slow start for me, I ended up liking it: would
recommend because it's so different from anything else I've seen
       recently. 👍

It was Flux, new on AMC. Not sure what season. May need to watch
it again in order to understand it. I don't usually watch them
new but got a cheap 60 day subscription to AMC. In Dune they
whispered so much(at least I think it was whispers) that I
couldn't understand all the lines but have always had a soft
       spot for Dune. Good Sci-Fi.

I watched The Electric Life of Louis Wain last Sunday night - DH
had gone to bed early. I really liked it and will watch it with
him again at some point. The trailer makes it seem like a
comedy, and there are some funny parts, but it's not all
humorous; the story is very moving. Great period costumes and
settings, too, plus Benedict Cumberbatch, Claire Foy, and lots
       of adorable cats.

Just finished watching a documentary on Attica on Showtime. It
       was horrific.

Okay I know this is hokey but I am watching Ghosts on Paramount
Plus. I have really needed the laughs lately. If the after-life
could only be as fun as they make it seem.

       Rewatching Stop Making Sense (Netflix).
Because if there’s any band that can make me believe it’s 1987
       again, it’s the Talking Heads.

For Britbox viewers, just watched 4 part series, Father & Son,
from 2009, very good. Ex-Gangster trying to reform, comes back
to England to save his son. (Rare violence but not close up. No
       torture, which I can’t abide.)
Have to wait 4 more days for ep. 2 of Shetland. Ep 1 did not
       disappoint!!

       Parceling out life's pleasures. :)
