We LOVE Doom Patrol in this house. It does get a bit deep, but
it's silly enough that you don't dwell on the sad
       parts.

We are re-watching Shetland from the beginning on BritBox, so we
can watch the seasons that came after our first binge on Netflix
       several years ago.
We have subtitles turned on because we struggle with the names
       and places.
I'm enjoying it but there are so many dang suspects, multiple
crimes and I feel like I need a scorecard.
The Nordic Cyclist wants to visit the island - we've hiked
Scotland and one of our B&B hosts was a real Shetlander. I
never understood a word he said, except when he [s]ordered[/s]
instructed me to eat breakfast (it's not my thing). I obeyed as
he had lovingly prepared it, which I appreciated. No haggis was
       involved.

DC convinced me to watch Valley of Tears with him - it's an
Israeli show that's kind of a Band-of-Brothers-esque look at
one of the battles in the Yom Kippur War.
My favorite character is Pine-Nut, the albino hedgehog that one
of the intelligence officers keeps as a pet.
He also recently signed up for a 1 week Starz trial. I'm
trying to get him to speedrun the first season of American Gods
with me, but he'd rather finish Valley of Tears first.

We just watched Monster Squad which was a really cheesy movie,
       but enjoyable for being so.

We're watching a j-horror marathon on Daikaiju. So far
we've seen Infection, Ringu, Ju-On (The Grudge), Dark Water,
and Scissors: The Slit-Mouthed Woman. We went out to vote and
eat, and now we're somewhere in the middle of Pulse.

I adore 'Shetland'! I've read the books by Ann
Cleeves, and the series doesn't disappoint. (Although Jimmy
Perez is not as I pictured him). The scenery is so lovely that
I'm mentally planning my post-covid trip there, hopefully
       for Up Helly Aa. :)

We watched the first episode of doom squad last night and will
try the next tomorrow night. Saturday nights are college
football. There was a lot of origin story in the first episode
so definitely giving the 2nd a try.
We also watched two episodes of Fast Foodies where the
competition foods were the Taco Bell crunchwrap supreme and the
       Wendy's chicken sandwich.
Rick is out of town this week so I"m going to watch the new
season of The Lost Kitchen and Fixer Upper on Discovery Plus so
I can feel good about canceling it. We have too many streaming
services right now, especially with this much football on.

The MASH Halloween episode, in which Hawkeye is turned into a
paranoid lunatic waiting for the practical joke that never
       comes.

Yet another Shetland fan here! Also just rewatched them to prep
for new season. And just watched The Long Call, (on
Britbox)another Ann Cleeves adaptation. It was very good!! I’d
read that book last year. And Vera is wonderful. Have read many
of the books too. Always lots of red herrings though.

We watched two movies last weekend:
The Protoge: standard explosion man movie only with a female
lead. The part where Michael Keaton, aged 70 is cast as a love
interest for the thirty-somthing female protagonist was
       annoying.
Stillwater: This movie was very sad. I wondered if Matt
Damon's character might have been over caricature-ized but as I
have never met anyone from OK I will likely never know.
The prior weekend we saw a dreadful comedy starring Billy
       Crystal. So very very bad.
