Today's Cy gif ... he objects to the direction I've chosen
(homeward) and is stallllllllling.
Also pix from today so you can see his look, including one on a
stoop (of course).
OMG Loving the snood !!! SO funny: I've never seen a dog wearing
a hood 🤣
But wait: only one bootie? Or did he hurt his foot? Maybe all
that rolling around on the astro turf crunched his paw.
The snood came with one of Cy's sweaters. I thought it was
silly at the time, but ended up using it a lot in winter.
He cut his paw in some glass, and the boot helps keep NYC
grossness out of the wound. No running allowed until it fully
heals. I figure he'll be back to rolling on astro turf next
weekish.

I gotta ask: Did you get a whippet *because* you can dress them
up?
He looks very elegant. More elegant than quite a few humans.
Hah! No, I actually didn't want to dress a dog, despite my
background in fashion design. I wanted a breed where the
standard was healthy, sweet-tempered, athletic, naps a lot and
wouldn't require me to blast the AC (cuz I don't like AC). I
was leaning toward greyhounds but realized 80 pounds was too
heavy to carry (in case of emergency). At 35 pounds, the
second-fastest couch potato suits me pretty well, despite my and
his whining.

He looks like a model: he poses so nicely on the stoop when
he's majestically gazing off into the distance.
Does he bark? He always seems pretty serene (when he's not
rolling around like a maniac, that is).

Awwww, thanks! I think he likes stoops partly because he can
survey his kingdom from up high. 🤭
As for serene, he is -- until he isn't (e.g., spots a squirrel
or dog). Then he goes all out nuts, and wants to chase or play.
He is mostly quiet. He isn't much of a barker, maybe three or
four barks per day. [Oh yeah, that was something else I
considered about the breed!] But he is a whiner -- and, wow,
what a hilarious range he has! -- though he doesn't whine much
at me any more since it doesn't work on me. He does cry when I
leave him alone (☹), and that's a bit heartbreaking. He
stops after a couple of minutes, but then he follows me around
the rest of the day like I can't be trusted. Dude, I was gone
for forty minutes, and I brought snax home with me!
Sometimes he sleep howls or sleep barks, and those are
priceless. 🥰

You know how youre always blaming him & giving Cy the side eye -
whether or not something actually is his fault?
Well, guess how he looks when youre not looking ....

Hah! If you look closely at this photo, you can see Cy's
version. He squishes lengthwise between me and the couch back
for this.
