       Ingenuity, Mars helicopter, has career-ending injury

       The helicopter on Mars has apparently damaged the tip of one of
       its rotors in a botched landing.

       I'm sad to learn the news, but the technical accomplishments of
       the team and the device they built were amazing.  It had been
       functional for almost three years, with more than 2 hours of
       total flight time.

       It was supposed to do five test flights in 30 days.  Delivered
       72 flights in three years!  And of course without any
       maintenance at all in between flights.
