       Bobi, claimed to be 31-year-old dog, is probably not

       This was in the news a couple days ago.
       NYTimes described Bobi as a "Rafeiro do Alentejo, a type of
       large dog native to Portugal that started as a hunting dog and
       now often guards livestock".
       People became skeptical early, because the larger breeds of dog
       tend to have shorter lives.  31 would be more than twice as long
       as the breed typically lives.  Bobi was also overweight -- not a
       sign of longevity.  Guinness may have been fooled because, while
       the info was in an official database, the information entered by
       the owner was not vetted.
