I’ve also read that blue eyed redheads are actually rare. What!?
I thought most redheads had blue eyes! Genetics is fascinating,
anyway.

I have no idea if this is actually true or backed up by any
science. But I was told many years ago thst sled dog breeders
try to breed dogs with blue eyes because they are most resistant
to snow blindness.
If there is truth to it - big if - then that maybe that’s why
blue eyes are more common in northern latitudes along with paler
skin.
