       U.S.D.A. updated the plant hardiness zone map

       Half of the country changed zones.  The last update was in 2012:

       I do most of my growing in 4a which is a change.   But it’s
       really close to 3b so for now I may be cautious with any
       expensive perennials that are not hardy to 3b.
       I have been noticing the garden centers sell a lot of plants for
       zone 4 already.

       Sunset zones are better, at least for the western Contiguous
       U.S.
