An amazing voice, an amazing range, an amazing artist - deeply
troubled and just as deeply passionate and determined to try to
make the world better. I am sorry that she is no longer with us,
but I will continue to remember and enjoy her music - which I
first encountered in high school, when my roommate put on The
Lion and The Cobra... and I was hooked. I have played that album
and many of her later songs more times than I can count. I
respect how hard she stood up for what she believed in.
