Home news from abroad

Hello! I made it, at last!
I'm "ineedaname" but now I'm not. I went on to Reddit the other
day and someone over there stole my username, probably long
before I went over there. So I changed to this UK slang version.
It feels a little odd but I expect I'll get used to it.
Been a little busy round here, not with anything special, just
the usual trying not to breathe in other people's germs, that
sort of thing. Oh and trying not to put up the Wapo numbers by
snooping to see what their numbers are, "Oh, what a tangled web
we weave, when first we practice to deceive!". It's saving me
money too - no more US websites to reach via Wapo ads means no
more American jackets or sandals or unusual Christmas presents.
I'll just have to get them from Harvey Nicks or John Lewis or
somewhere. ;)
Hope you're all well - and that starting my own thread is the
right way to say hello. :)

<waving> Hi! Good to see you here. Take a look around, we're
mostly to be found hanging out on the Thread of the Day, the
Basic Tutorials will walk you through a bunch of stuff that may
be useful in getting acclimated to this format.
If you have any questions, ask and 14 people are likely to reply
to you simultaneously to try and help, cuz that's pretty much
how we roll here. lol.

Maybe I could... if I could remember my password ... or if I
could remember the email I used to register so that I could get
a password reminder... and if I could remember the password to
access that email ... but this is what happens when your
computer dies and you can't find the handwritten list of
passwords for throwaway emails anywhere!

Never fear. 90% of what we talk about isn't all that profound.
Today was advice columns for a bit and then we were into the
horrors of 70s fashions and cute butts and how annoying kid's tv
shows are. :D
