I've always made sure my new cats knew where the litter box was
even if it meant pulling them from their hiding place a couple
of times. I don't think it slowed down their getting comfortable
very much since I also never had a cat take more than a day or
       two to adjust.

Cats we’ve brought home always seem to find the litter box.
Since we’ve been in this house, the coming home room has been
the main/guest bedroom with a bath. The food and water is just
outside the bathroom. The litter in the bathroom so it’s not
like they have to look very hard for it! Of course I agree it
makes sense to show them where the box is, but cats are pretty
good about that naturally, especially if they’ve grown up with
       one, vs a stray.
Mr let Mia out when I was at work and I was concerned about it
being too much too soon, and did ask him to show her the
permanent litter box. He laughed and sent me a pic of her coming
out of it. She found it on her own, 2 floors down, in an
elevated cabinet that Mr built! 😁
Billie, I’m so glad to hear she’s starting to trust, and is
happy with some human interaction. It’s so satisfying when they
purr. LB purred the second time I brushed him. Was not expecting
that. I’m sitting in the room with him now, and while he hasn’t
come to me, he did come out from under the bed. He’s looking
       very chill. Closing his eyes.
I’m hoping he’ll catch the fly that got into the room. 🤞
Looking forward to seeing pics of your little girl.

As long as I and her stay close to the ground we are good. I
pick her up or I stand up and she panics.
She is the tiniest thing. You can see my hand in the video.

       Also...
Mr. Was in the bedroom and sat down. She came out of hiding and
       sniffed him.

I exported this frame from the video in case nobody can see the
second link either. It's a nice head shot.

She is so adorable! I can't take it. I'm glad she is starting
       to settle a bit.
More kitty mojo for her, and for LB too.
