When I picked her up she looked scared. Unusual for a kitten.
She was shaking for parts of the ride home. In the house,
Sasha came up to sniff her in the carrier and they hissed and
growled. Pretty normal. And then the hiding started. I popped
her the bathroom thinking I might segregate her in the bathroom
to help her feel safe. but while pondering that, Sasha walked
in and they had a bit of a confrontation. So I put her in the
bedroom. Locked out Sasha and provided her a litter box and
food from the breeder. She has been hiding under the dresser
for the last several hours while I napped.
I have never seen a kitten so absolutely scared. Even Harmony
       was braver.
I will probably have to lock Sasha out of the bedroom tonight to
give the little one a chance to feel comfortable before allowing
them to see each other again.
Not quite what I expected. So far no name.

Name thought - what about an endearment? Like "Piccolo" which is
       "little one" in Italian?

It might take time. We had to keep Sasha and Mia separate for
quite a while. I didn’t think they would ever get along but
they’re fine now. I think the anti anxiety room diffuser helped.
Felaway, Something like that. I think you should plan on keeping
them apart at least a week, let them get used to each others
       smells through the door.
Little one has been through a lot. Separated from family, a
plane ride. Car travel. She’s gonna need a little time to
       decompress and feel safe.

Little boy (LB)* just finished dinner and now it’s play time.
       * not his name, just what I calling him for now.

Glad he is finally coming out from under the bed. Little one
was playing with a shoe lace. I pulled her out from under the
dresser after about 5 hours to see if she would eat a treat.
Not really. So I showed her the litter box again. And now she
is under the bed. Hopefully she will get braver overnight.

I recommend not pulling her out from under the furniture. Lay
down on the floor nearby so she can see you, talk to her in
gentle soothing tones and also just lay there quietly. After a
while, if she seems to be relaxing, slowly slide a hand a little
closer, but not making contact. The second she starts to look
uncomfortable - stop and just let your hand rest there for a bit
or slowly withdraw. You can also extend some treats to her,
leave them and take your hand back.
You feel like you know her. You’ve watched her grow up in
photos. But you and your home are completely foreign to her.
Please be patient and give her the time she needs to adjust. I
had one cat that ran and hid from me for a week but became the
most loving and affectionate cat you’d ever want to meet.
Since she’s playing with a shoe lace, a wand toy is a good way
to help bring her out while allowing her to keep the distance
she needs. She’ll see you at the other end of the wand.
I know you didn’t ask for advice, but I’m going through this now
with a cat from a 40 cat condemned hoarding house. He’s made
good progress in a week, but I’ve only been able to
touch/scratch/brush him twice (both times were after he watched
me brushing and loving Sasha. She’s like one of those guide
horses for thorobreds, a calming influence). I also touched his
paw under the bed once using the slow approach method. I’ve been
sleeping in the room with him, and right now he’s resting in a
box on the floor, after playtime with a catnip toy. He sees me,
but isn’t hiding, although I’m sure he’ll head for under the bed
       when I get up.

Overnight she ate all her wet food (not sure if she touched dry)
and used the litter box. I'm happy to see that.
This morning she was back under the dresser. But when I used
her feather toy she came out slowly to greet me. She ate most
of her treat. She loved getting pet and wiggled like crazy,
bumped my hand and purred. I started the process lying down and
eventually made it to my knees. She is nervous and hearing Mr.
through the door made her more nervous.
She disappeared again when I left to get her more food. I found
her in the bookcase and left her there. We are now out for the
       afternoon.
I agree that bringing her out is not ideal but I wanted to make
sure she had seen her litter and food before I went to bed. I
was actually considering buying her a play pen to corral her but
I've put off that decision. If she is willing to come out with
encouragement then I'm willing to encourage her.
Sasha is upset with me. I keep telling her I still love her and
pet her like crazy when I'm not in the bedroom. When I
introduced her to Coco she was cool. But now that it's her home
she is not appreciating the kitten at all.
First step .. getting kitten comfortable. Next step will be
       starting the introduction.
