I did that for the bed and miraculously she used the little
stairway. She has miraculously not ripped her stitches although
the seam is perhaps not as tidy as it started.
It's been a week, she is almost healed at this point. Thank
goodness.

Shortly after I named Nori, I thought I might have made a
mistake. Because she was bold and kick ass when she was
confident. (And totally the opposite when confronted with
newness). So I got my kick ass girl that I wanted without my
carefully selected kick ass name.
But Naughty Nori just rolls off the tongue so much better than
say Naughty Cassidy or Naughty Riley. And she is very naughty.
Just ask Sasha. Sasha would like her given back or at least
exchanged.

Nori has been very naughty today particularly towards Sasha.
Sasha tolerated Nori at first but now she mostly just hates her.
Nori just has to pass by her and Sasha will go after her. By
no means does this make her the meanie. Nori will walk up to a
sleeping Sasha and just whack her. I get that Sasha is
completely fed up.
But how can you not love this?

I was doing what I thought was routine blood work for Nori's
cardiology appt and annual exam. At worse I was expecting an
abnormal PCV test that indicated polycythemia. Instead I get
this...
The lab results on Nori are back and show an elevated white
blood cell count that is significant at 29 ( high normal is 16),
specifically, her neutrophils ( infection fighting cells) and
lymphocytes. Her red blood cells also are showing a sign that
she is sending more immature cells into the blood stream that
should have waited until they were matured. This happens when
the body needs red blood cells immediately or in larger
quantities in which the body can produce them fast enough.
She is sending the results to the cardiologist and said we
needed him to weigh in on the results before proceeding. I
don't see him until July 9th.
