Monster Cereals
By: Aardtacha Date: August 29, 2021, 11:11 am

Because I am totally a grown-ass adult and can make my own
nutrition decisions, I am eating Monster Cereal for lunch today.
Haven't decided which sugary treat it will be, but one of them.
Probably Frankenberry because I really want vaguely pink milk
for some reason. Loved Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute as a kid,
but I can't find them any more.

Your post was made at a very creepy 11:11 (CDT). I think that
confirms you can have creepy cereal for lunch.

Frankenberry was a huge favorite for me as a 7 or 8YO. Only
Cap'n Crunch was better.

I never liked any cereals with marshmallow bits.
In no particular order:
Cap'n Crunch (with or without crunchberries)
Cocoa Krispies
Golden Krisp (used to be Super Sugar Krisp)
If I'm desperate, Frosted Flakes

I loved, and still love Lucky Charms.
Crunchberries better than no crunchberries.
Ew, no "chocolate" in my cereal, blech, ptooie.
I seem to remember also liking sugar pops or something.
The worst was raisin bran. So gross.

Raisin bran?
I didn't know we were talking about "adult" cereals. And yes to
Sugar Pops. I actually have some in a cereal storage thing right
now. Froot Loops, too.

I remember liking froot loops and whatever other froot cereal
with gross fake colors, but I don't care for any of those now.
I'd probably still eat apple jacks and I'd definitely eat Cap'n
Crunch.
I remember cinnamon toast crunch when it first came out. Sofa
king good. Now it doesn't taste like anything but sugar.

Honeycomb. That was my favorite. I only ate it at my aunt's
house. My mother didn't buy that kind of thing. She bought
cereals with zero kid appeal like "Os" which were generic
Cheerios. No honey nut, just plain old Os. Healthier but not
what we wanted. She was very anti "junk food". Me and my
sibling snuck a few tablespoons of sugar in with our cereal, so
that particular effort was fruitless.

So this is where I admit that I really loved Raisin Bran, and
the sugary cereals were more of an occasional treat (and
sometimes I'd still pick the Raisin Bran over the sugar).
Two bowls of Frankenberry for lunch yesterday. Meant to have a
bowl of Booberry to get me going this morning but I ran outta
time. I guess I'll just eat some tonight. My lunchtime salad
didn't really do it for me today...

My maternal grandfather had Shredded Wheat on mornings he ate
cereal. When we stayed with them we'd often choose the Shredded
Wheat because it was Morfar's favorite. Later we discovered he
was doing the heart healthy thing and didn't really like them
all that much...
