Frankie and Harmony

Hank and Dakota stories are making me think of the babies I lost
this spring.
We nursed Frankie through 3 years of cancer treatments. She
caught a cold and it ripped through her so fast the vets
couldn't keep ahead it. We lost her on my Moms birthday at the
emergency vet. I still miss her a lot even though I now have
Sasha.
Harmony was Frankie s best bud. She passed 3 weeks before
Frankie. She had cancer but her treatments failed to put her in
remission. She passed in my lap at home during a planned
goodbye. I wish Frankie had been planned....so much more
peaceful than at the vets.
And now I am sobbing again remembering my baby Frankie.
I love this pic of the two of them.

You could always upload to ibb.co and post the link here. That's
how we did it in Ye Olden Days, in That Other Place.

I love that picture of them together. 😍
My two were adopted at different times and it's pretty obvious
they just tolerate each other.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Such beautiful babies. It's never
easy to lose our furry companions but some ways they go are
harder than others.
We lost our Simon this spring as well, with over a week of
decline knowing he was going to pass from his cancer. It was
hard, but I was glad it gave us the chance to say goodbye and he
could pass at home in his favorite cat bed.

The amazing thing about those two was that I already had Harmony
for about 5 years before I got Frankie as a 12 week old kitten.
Once the initial "who the hell are you and what are you doing in
my house" passed they were inseparable. We introduced CoCo
about 5 years after that and Frankie never ever warmed up to
her. Harmony would have warmed up to her more but Frankie
staked out her territory and her people were required to stay
her people. No exceptions.
And we would have liked to have planned Frankie too but everyone
thought it was just another cold until suddenly it wasn't. She
went from not feeling so hot at 8pm to making the final decision
at midnight.
