You know what's awesome?

Coming home from the first day back in school to a house that
smells of pot roast.
So glad I started one last night. After a long day of reminding
kids to wear their masks, resetting passwords and going over
expectations, it was lovely. And now there will be yummy
sandwiches for a few days, as well.
Traffic at the end of the day was hellish. I'd swear that if a
family had two kids at the high school than one parent came to
get one and the other picked up the other one. Fortunately
everyone was generally driving nicely and not making those
illegal lefts out of the parking lot (the city the school is in
has passed an ordinance that one may not turn left our of school
parking lots, driveways, etc. during the morning and afternoon
traffic hours).

There aren't too many things I like better than coming home
after a rough day to find dinner all but ready to eat. I wish I
had enough crock pot recipes to do that three nights a week.

Right before I had to go back to work I made a big batch of
s'ketti sauce and a huge lasagna. I froze something like 9 meals
worth of the sauce. My plan had been to eat part of the lasagna
and freeze dinner portions but, um, we hadn't had a lasagna in a
while and we at it all before I could get around to freezing
any. Mr Tacha makes a bit batch of nacho beef, which we then
freeze in meal-ish sized portions, and we can have nachos, add
some to ramen noodles, make tacos. We generally try to have a
lot of mostly prepped meals ready to fix when we come home from
work tired out.
