I'm so sorry she's injured, but I am glad that 1) you have
identified a primary source of danger for falls/injury, and that
       2) it's not cancer!
       Mojo for rapid healing!

They took xrays of her lungs at the same time so we shouldn't
have to get a new set in early Nov for monitoring the pulmonary
nodule. Report came back with no growth indicated. Continue
       monitoring with periodic xrays.
Will speak to specialist in a couple of days to get new wait
period and confirmation that the nodule continues to look
       inactive.

What a relief it wasn't spreading cancer, and it's great that
you've identified the source of the injury.
Mojo for Coco's healing and everybody's peace of mind after such
       a stress-filled period.

Because it's a tropical storm in the Ryder household,. Coco is
going back to the vet for a skin lump/sore. I think this is the
same lump that was there when she went in last Saturday but it
was much smaller then. I say, I think, because she has another
lump on her other side too. I don't know if that is last week's
lump or something that I thought was maybe a teet last week.
And with my own crisis going on,. I hadn't really been tracking
what's going on with Coco other than remembering to give her
       painkillers.
Things are going downhill fast here.

*fingers crossed* I hope that everything is okay and these are
       basically benign anomalies.

They think she might actually have MAST cell cancer on her
tummy. This would be unrelated to the pulmonary nodule. And
they actually aren't sure what is wrong with her leg which has
seen zero improvement in a week. New x-rays are showing some
oddity (in the same spot as the bone bruise) that the doctor
isn't sure what it is or won't say without confirmation.
I used to go to this doctor until our schedules didn't mesh.
She is a good no nonsense doctor.
So it's waiting to hear the results.

       Coco does not have cancer.
The lumps contain basil cells(hair?) possibly from the mammary
glands. That might make sense for one but not the other. They
have a chance of turning into aggressive cancer cells so they
want to take them out in the next 1 to 2 weeks. That surgery is
scheduled for next Friday. Mr. Ryder has agreed to take her.
This is a good thing because apparently I need to get cleared to
       drive again post surgery.
Her leg. She is finally out from under the bed but her
improvements are marginal. The new X-ray shows a bigger bone
bruise (she did fall after the first) and it appears she might
be growing a bone spur on her femur in response to the pain.
During the above surgery they will give her a more long term
pain killer/anti inflammatory injection meant for arthritis.
This will save me from chasing her down with pills which I can't
really do. I love my vets.

Relatively good news, all things considered. Fingers crossed
that all goes well with her surgery too!

We've rushed Coco to the vet.
I heard her get out of/fall out of the kayak cover(it covers
the hole where the person sits). She likes to sit in the half
moon shape. I assumed she was going to the bathroom or
something but she never came out. I kneeled on the floor and
looked under the bed just enough to see her stretched out. I
called her name. She never responded. I woke up Mr. Ryder to
try to get a better look since I can't bend over. He went to
the other side to try to get her out and she somehow managed to
crawl in my direction to the point that I could pull her
forward. Her head was weaving in a way that made me think she
had some neurological event. I managed to put her on a little
mat then slide under the hard carrier base. Together we managed
to wrangle her into the carrier without moving her too much.
We are now at the urgent care center of our regular vet....
       Waiting.
It never rains but it pours. We are working up to a tropical
       storm.
