Gordon, our cairn terrier, has been ill for the last few months,
but it became clear that it was cancer about 6 weeks ago. He's
been getting palliative care since, with pain medication, and
something for nausea and appetite. We thought we might have
longer, but over the weekend he was refusing almost all food,
and then yesterday had a spell where he couldn't seem to catch
his breath, and I just didn't want him to suffer any more.
Gordon is gone now, and he will be greatly missed. He was such a
happy good boy.
