Ice cream!!

We were talking about ice cream over in the general thread, so I
went to my Recipes file, and I found something I feel compelled
to share.
Step one: Make a batch of brownies, but pour the batter into a
jelly-roll pan so it'll come out rather thin. When it's baked
and cool, use a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter to cut it into rounds.
(They say that you should "reserve remaining brownie bits for
another use" [like crumbling it into fresh-made ice cream] but I
think that a fine idea is to eat them.)
Step two: Using a small (2-inch) scoop, put a scoop of
strawberry ice cream on top of each cut-out round of brownie.
Step three: Put them in the freezer while you make a chocolate
glaze out of 12 oz bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, 1/4 cup
butter, and 1 Tbls light corn syrup. Let it cool to room
temperature.
Step four: Put some waxed paper under enough cooling racks to
hold all the brownie pieces. Arrange them so there's a little
space between them, and carefully ladle some chocolate glaze
over each one, making sure to cover each completely. Let the
chocolate harden, then cover them with waxed paper and freeze
for at least 15 minutes.
Step five: Invite other people over to help eat them up, because
I want some, too!
And, on reflection, it strikes me that other types of ice cream
or gelato would also be deeelicious in this form -- like, say,
raspberry sherbet. A good rich vanilla ice cream, of course . .
. and lemon granita would be interesting, as well as mango or
coconut or coffee ice creams. Just anything you like!
