Mr Q grilled dinner last night. Chicken in my chicken marinade
       plus grilled cauliflower.
Turns out I am not so much a fan of grilled cauliflower.

Oh, I LOVE roasted veggies. I do not like grilled veggies where
the veggie has made contact with the grill (except maybe the
edge of a pepper or something on a kebab).
If you need to cook veggies on a grill, I am in favor of my
parents' method - enclose in aluminum foil (pocket) and allow it
to "steam" or "bake" itself essentially.

Those don't quite fully count as grilled in my book. I
frequently use a pan like the one in this
       article:
  HTML https://www.gearpatrol.com/food/g33444903/grill-pans-made-in-bk-carbon<br
/>and I quite like the results for classic grilling veggies like
       onions and peppers.

I have a pan like that and it's awesome for getting great grill
flavor and not having to worry about things falling through the
grates. I do love a little char on my veggies. Dinner Thursday
(probably) will be grilled eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash and
       onions that's all doused with a balsamic/olive oil/garlic/herb
vinaigrette, all piled on a roll with provolone, tomato, basil
and a garlic aioli. I do the zucchini, squash and onions in that
       basket thingy.

I have had limited luck with veggies in a basket. They always
seem to sneak out the side.
Exception: When I am grilling big fat slices of red onion for
burgers I do them in the basket and flip veeeeeery carefully.
       This works well.

“Ooh! I love this prompt. We are getting a Kamado Joe (giant
ceramic grill/smoker thingy) delivered tomorrow and I am so
excited! I will confess my primary purpose is to use it to cook
pizzas, since the oven doesn't get hot enough to do stellar
pizza. Smoked turkey is also high on the list of exciting
       things.”

Greetings - new here! This Kamado Joe sounds intriguing. We
got into the make-your-own pizza pretty heavy this past COVID 18
months. Please let us know what you think of this!

Is the Kamado Joe the same as the egg?

My favorite grilled veggie is asparagus. My husband (who does
all the grilling, but also all the cooking!) uses skewers to put
them in a raft shape, and puts it directly on the grill. Smoky
and so tasty! I think he coats them with lemon butter before
       grilling.
