Oh! Oh!
I want to clarify: It is my assumption that anyone can ask
anyone else stuff via PM and as long as it isn't an attack it's
allowed, right? So it's perfectly fine for, say, me and Beth to
have a back and forth via PM about how I think that Hawk from
WaPo is now here posting as Bluebird and isn't that
weird/funny/dumb?
Is that allowed?

I would guess the only way us mods would hear about a pm is if
the other person you are messaging reports it, so I don't have
any problem with idle gossip off-thread, but maybe know your
audience and don't accuse me of being BB?
I wouldn't be inclined to police pm's except in extremely
obvious cases.

As far as the site is concerned, that is a private communication
between the two of you. What you say out of the public eye is
your business.
The only time it would not be private is if one of you hits the
report button on it because you felt you were being
harassed/attacked by the other.

I will happily exchange one weekend session of walking my

Um, don't want to sound dense here, but I notice the choices for
voting are: Yes, no, and yes, with changes discussed by the
end of the poll date.
That date is 30 May, so a bit less than a week away.
If we don't know what will be discussed over the next week,
wouldn't we want to hold off on voting until 30 May? :) Who
knows what other points might be raised? Otherwise, you're
voting blindly for choices as yet unheard.
