       Dog cookies

       Really good dog cookies
       2.5 cups flour*
       1 cup oatmeal
       1 small can pumpkin
       Peanut butter**
       .5 teaspoon cinnamon
       .5 teaspoon salt
       2 eggs
enough water*** to moisten the dough
       Oven at 350º.
Mix everything together. Move it to a floured surface and
flatten it to about .5 inch thick. Cut .5 in squares and place
on baking sheet. (I use parchment paper, too.) Bake for 40
minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the cookies in for another
40 or so minutes to dry and harden a little. These cookies are
virtually indestructible. My last batch were still good after 2
       weeks.
*Recipe calls for whole wheat flour; I never have that, so I use
       AP flour.
**As much as you want. I use about half of a small jar.
***I use chicken stock, maybe 4-5 tablespoons.
So you know how good they are: Ziva doesn't really like to do
tricks for food, but she'll sit and give paw for these cookies.
And when there are no more cookies to be given, she'll sit and
give paw, unbidden, another 5-6 times before she realizes cookie
       time is over.

Mom makes one of the King Arthur cheese cracker recipes for
doggo's cookies. Roll a bit thicker than the recipe calls for,
       and cut into squares.
