Oh, also: farmer's market peaches.
Succotash was farmer's market corn, etc.
God I love summer.

Leftover succotash.
Which I cannot say in a not-Sylvester accent.

I read it that way, too!

For a mid-morning snack, I picked more thimbleberries from the
patch (a very pregnant doe 15 yards away didn't care that I was
sharing the berry patch) and ate another pint. So delicious
this year! Lunch, Amy's frozen black bean and zucchini
enchiladas with sweet potato, quinoa, and corn chips.

I am not happy with my lunch of leftover venison sausage served
with a peach/fennel/cabbage/jalapeno slaw. BUT it is basically
free and it's probably not any worse than cafeteria food.
Mr Q thinks it's hi-larious to call anything licorice flavored
anise, prounounced anus.
MR Q: Does this slaw have anus in it?

Is it just me or does the Q household seem to have a thing about
variations on Uranus themes ?

Brown rice bowl. Mostly unseasoned rice with a small portion of
steamed broccoli crowns, zucchini, orange bell pepper, and tofu
sauteed in olive oil, topped with a bit of grey sea salt. Super
bland food tastes good right now.

Ramen with overcooked broccoli and cauliflower. I'd prefer it
to crunch, but the stitches say no.

Today's lunch: heirloom tomatoes, mayo, salt. That's all.
Tomorrow's lunch: heirloom tomatoes, mayo, salt.
Wednesday's lunch: heirloom tomatoes, mayo, salt.
I love tomato season and this one felt like it took forever to
arrive.
