Yes, but you are the Magic Food Fairy!
(Note, sarcastically using this on my son once upon a time, did
not end well, when he - at 16 - told me he was hungry and I
looked at him and said "So? You know where the kitchen is. What
do I look like, the Magic Food Fairy??" and he said "Yes! You
make all the things that is delicious!"

I'm the CEO of food.

youre the victim of your own delish success.
if i were the food fairy at your house, you can bet they'd all
be grabbing pop tarts for dinner instead of waiting me to cook.
So what you're suggesting is that I start ruining everything?
Whatever you make has to be worse than poptarts. Or microwave
popcorn.
Btw I've read your menus: I"d sit on my tail and wait for you
to cook, too. We're not stupid ya know.

They are both excellent cooks. Really good. Not great meal
planners unless it's advance cooking for a week of packed
lunches with macros appropriate for twentysomething metabolisms.
But cook? Yes they can.

So is that implying that Mr Q was the source of your ill-fated
sad lunch leftovers a week or so ago ? The ones you were
whingeing on about?
Because if you & the boys are fab cooks, then that just leaves
him* (and LCP) as the culprit.
*(dont worry i'll never tell him. btw what did you end up doing
w/your lunch that day?)

Mr Q wooed me with excellent cooking. He can cook. The trouble
around here is that nobody feels like meal planning. Including
me.

Sis, come stay with me and I will teach you how to feed people.
Evidently I'm so good at it, nobody wants to eat anything else!
Dammit.

I love to cook. I also love figuring out new things to cook.
Sadly, my downstairs neighbor, who generally speaking likes
everything I cook, has the taste/smell Covid curse. So lately,
I've been trying for textures instead of flavors. I hope it ends
soon.

OK he's not a teen anymore but nearly, so here it is:
ME AND MR Q: Youngest, you should buy a car before your current
beater dies.
YOUNGEST: I know
ME AND MR Q: You should probably finance a portion of the
purchase just to establish good credit
OLDEST: Don't listen to them, they're old people
FRIEND OF YOUNGEST AND OLDEST: Youngest, you should buy a car
before your current beater dies. Also, be sure to finance a
portion of the purchase in order to establish good credit.
OLDEST AND YOUNGEST: Great idea!
You know that Geico commercial where the guy won't listen to his
actual dad but then he takes the identical advice from his TV
dad? My life is *exactly* like that.

Geico commercials and bad sitcom plots (sans laughtrack): Yep,
that's pretty much everybody's life.
