Week 1 Matchups & Predictions

WEEK 1 (January 25-27)
FRIDAY:
9:00pm - Rebels vs Tornadoes - Score: Rebels won 1-0.
Prediction: [spoiler]Tornadoes. Get the feeling the team might
gel instantly with Vidal and Babydoll up front. Now unless
Thunderstorm, Superman and Beans all show up, BW will have a
hard time getting anything going.[/spoiler]
9:00pm - Cheeseheads vs Hipster Faces - Score: Cheeseheads won
9-2.
Prediction: [spoiler]Hipster Faces. Tbh things can go either
way. Cheeseheads will heavily rely on Chance and Anon for the
time being, but I just don't see the team pushing for
consistency. Apple drafted a solid team full of talent and it's
only a matter of figuring out the positions before they go on a
roll.[/spoiler]
9:30pm - Forest Fires vs Golden Eagles - Score: Eagles won 3-2
in OT.
Prediction: [spoiler]Eagles. Although, things could be different
if Guido and Comedian both show up. Given a strong starting line
up with OGrady in cage, this should be a W for Wazza.[/spoiler]
9:30pm - Flames HC vs Cornered Tigers - Score: Tigers won 2-1.
Prediction: [spoiler]Flames. They have a good line up ahead of
themselves, but their attack is what concerns me. Barca-Kes and
OTP are well rounded players but they'll have to rely on NJ
showcasing some solid MID. It's the Tigers defence that'll
impress us the most. [/spoiler]
SATURDAY:
9:00pm - Forest Fires vs Cheeseheads - Score: Cheeseheads won
3-2.
Prediction: [spoiler]Cheeseheads. FFF will remain a weak team
until JJ gets his players active. The depth in his roster is
decent enough to cause an upset at times so look out. [/spoiler]
9:00pm - Tornadoes vs Cornered Tigers - Score: Tornadoes won
5-0.
Prediction: [spoiler]Tornadoes. If Undrcntrl can spot a MID in
his team, it could turn out ugly for this Tigers team. Dafuq
will have to be at his very best in order to give his team a
shot.[/spoiler]
9:30pm - Rebels vs Flames HC - Score: Rebels won 8-2.
Prediction: [spoiler]Flames. BW might push himself back at MID
to counter NJ which would leave a huge gap upfront for any
offence to work its way through McGrupp. A lot will rely on
Thunderstorm in this game.[/spoiler]
9:30pm - Golden Eagles vs Hipster Faces - Score: Hipster Faces
won 3-1.
Prediction: [spoiler]Hipster Faces. This team still has a weak
link in their GK department so it should be a good match up, but
the upper hand remains with SouthTown because of their excellent
attack. OGrady will need to have a A-1 game to lift his team
up.[/spoiler]
SUNDAY:
9:00pm - Rebels vs Cornered Tigers - Score:
Prediction: [spoiler]Tigers. Apathy gets a well deserved S/O
here due to his much improved play over the past many weeks.
Don't see any chemistry working out with BW's team for the time
being so it should be a fairly easy win for the
Tigers.[/spoiler]
9:00pm - Forest Fires vs Hipster Faces - Score:
Prediction: [spoiler]Hipster Faces. Rumours have it that
Comedian is available for only Sundays and if this is true, FFF
gets a massive boost in their offense. JJ will be at MID to try
and stop a top attacking unit but won't get much help
elsewhere.[/spoiler]
9:30pm - Tornadoes vs Flames HC - Score:
Prediction: [spoiler]Flames. This is the match up of the week
imo with 2 of the top 2 teams from the Eastern Division going in
for bragging rights. I suspect a very close game but OTP's team
comes out on top on a goal by Barca-Kes.[/spoiler]
9:30pm - Golden Eagles vs Cheeseheads - Score:
Prediction: [spoiler]Eagles. Cheeseheads will always be a
surprise team, no matter who they face. -NDR- and Natalie have
improved but I think they're 1 good forward away from being a
solid contender. Eagles have great balance on their starting
roster and might just be a little too much on
Milwaukee.[/spoiler]
These predictions have been taken into account with player
availability and obviously the quality, in comparison to the
other team's. Things will look much different as we head into
Week 2, when we'll know more on teams. Don't get your panties
wet over this article.. Just some opinions. Wishing every team
good luck for their opening week and may no autism occur.

This lack of confidence in the Rebels. I think we have one of
the best teams in the league. Got 4 top tier starters that
should be here almost every night and a couple of newer guys
that will be here every night. Still rep'd for the effort.

^ I was going to say this but with curses in it because I am 14,

Flames will come out with a win by a goal for barca-kes

i cant make most sundays, though, if the game is 8:30 latest, I
probs can, but 9:30 is too late on sunday :/

Gotta put in the work. Gotta run the miles in practice. Gotta do
all the reps when you hit data gym. This is a game of passion
