Server Rules [You must follow them]
By: Ashley Date: June 28, 2013, 4:59 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Official Server Rules of Haru Gaming Roleplay
If you do not follow these rules punishments will be made.
1.0 General Rules
1.1 You must role-play at all times and stay "in character" (IC)
for as long as you are online. At least 95 percent of the time.
1.2 You are responsible for your actions as you are the only one
who should know your account information and use your account.
1.3 The only time you may go "out of character" (OOC) is when an
administrator or community advisor gives you permission to do so
because they are either reviewing your report or help request.
1.4 Do not insult another player out of characterly (OOCly).
Racial slurs may cause the victim to be offended and are not
allowed. Result of this is a fine, warn or a jail depending on
the severity.
1.5 If you get banned and believe you should be unbanned, post a
ban appeal in this section:
HTML http://mx-gaming.net
...18-ban-appeals/ and wait until an
authorized ban appealer views it.
1.7 You are not permitted to go "away from keyboard" (AFK) in a
roleplay scenario/environment. You can only do so inside your
house or at an area where people are unlikely to be (Red County,
for example).
1.8 Do not spam or complain via /report when you have lost to
roleplay or been punished by an administrator, moderator or
comm. advisor - file a staff complaint:
HTML https://docs.goo
gle..../viewform?pli=1 for admins, and
HTML http://mx-gaming.net
.../16-complaints/ for staff (advisors,
moderators, etc).
2.0 Death Match
2.1 Death matching is inflicting damage (shooting, punching,
etc) upon another player without a valid in character reason to
do so, and is strictly forbidden.
2.2 This is an example of a bad reason to kill someone: "He
cursed me out and talked about my mother"
2.3 This is an example of a good reason to kill someone: "He
murdered my family and stole everything I ever had"
2.4 Punishments vary on level and playing hours (e.g. If the
player is level 3 (starting level) with 2 playing hours, they
would get around 10-15 minutes. If the player is level 6 with 76
playing hours, they would get around 45 minutes. If the player
is level 11 with 176 playing hours, they would get over 60
minutes).
3.0 Revenge Kill
3.1 When you are killed, you lose 30 minutes of your memory,
which means that you do not know who killed you or what happened
before your death. If you return to RP at the area where you
were killed before 30 minutes have passed, or attempt to kill
the person who killed you, it is considered revenge killing and
you can be prisoned.
3.2 In family points (which are OOC), if you are killed, you may
return to the point and fight until it's over.
3.3 When a player that was killed by you returns to the RP
and/or attempts to kill you, do not fight back - use the /report
function to report them. Admins have a very useful command which
allows them to check if that player is RKing or not. For further
information on the '30 minute rule', check
HTML http://mx-gaming.net...rul
e-explained/
4.0 Meta Game
4.1 Meta game is the usage of out of character information in
characterly.
4.2 Out of character refers to the real life players. Any action
from the player's point of view is OOC.
4.3 In character refers to the characters of the game. Any
action from the character's point of view is IC.
4.4 Example: Andy Verdan is a new player who is trying to join
the FBI. He heads to the nearest 24/7 and buys a phone and a
phonebook. After that, he presses the "TAB" key to check the
player list, and notices that Connor Whitewood has an FBI badge.
He immediately uses /number to obtain his phone number and calls
him:
Andy Verdan: Hello Connor, can I join the Federal Bureau of
Investigation?
This would be metagaming; the player has OOC knowledge of Connor
being in the FBI, yet the character wouldn't even know his
name/phone number, as they haven't met yet.
4.5 Metagaming contracts can also get you punished. Placing
contracts on people that you do not know in characterly can lead
to being prisoned and fined double the amount of money
contracted.
5.0 Power Game
5.1 Power gaming has two correct definitions: Performing actions
which are impossible and using an object/ability/power that you
do not possess (e.g. /me pulls out a knife, without having an
actual game knife or toy).
5.2 It can also be defined as forcing roleplay without giving
the victim a chance to RP back (e.g. Connor Whitewood ties Andy.
t/tie Andy_Verdan, without giving him a chance to reply if the
RP was successful).
5.3 Good example: /me opens the trunk and leans in - retrieving
a long rope.
/do Andy would still be unconscious on the ground,
correct?
Yes (( Andy Verdan ))
/me bends down next to Andy and wraps the rope around his
legs, tying a tight knot.
/do Is this action successful?
Yes (( Andy Verdan ))
6.0 Asspull
6.1 Asspulling is taking out your weapon without a proper /me
statement, and is not allowed.
6.2 You must RP taking out ALL of your weapons, even the
smallest ones.
6.3 Big weapons like: MP5, Pump-shotgun, Combat Shotgun, Country
Rifle, Sniper, Ak47, M4 have to be RP'ly taken from the trunk or
inside of your vehicle.
6.4 If you are not visibly wearing a bag (toy), do not RP taking
your weapon out of a bag because you do not possess one.
6.6 You may role-play taking out the other weapons from your
pocket/body.
6.7 In OOC events (family points, admin events, paintball, etc),
asspulling is allowed.
7.0 Non-Roleplay Advertisements
7.1 Creating non-roleplay advertisements (e.g. Selling drugs,
fuck the police!) is prohibited.
7.2 When selling illegal items you must always hide them in a
phrase set of words.
7.3 There should never be sectioned letters or words in your
advertisement (e.g. Selling [POT]tery and [CRACK]ers for 10
dollars each). That right there is an illegal /ad, due to the
fact that it is completely noticeable in one look.
7.6 An example of an acceptable advertisement: Selling pottery
for 10 dollars each.
8.0 Robberies
8.1 The maximum amount of money you can scam from a player is
$100,000.
8.2 You may only perform a robbery on or scam a player that has
an equal or higher level than you.
8.3 After attempting or successfully robbing/scamming someone,
you may not kill them (unless you have another VALID reason to
do so (e.g. They shoot at you). Refer to rule 2.3)
9.0 Rush Taze
9.1 You may not taze a player that is actively aiming and/or
firing a weapon at you.
9.2 You may taze a player that has a gun on their hand if it is
not being aimed and/or discharged.
9.3 You may taze a player that has a gun on their hand and is
running.
9.4 You may taze a player that is running in circles/around you
with a tec-9 or UZI, even if they are aiming/shooting.
10.0 Car Ram/Park
10.1 Vehicle ramming is ramming another vehicle or player in
order to damage them. If not RP'ed properly and spectated by an
administrator, breaking this rule can result in being prisoned.
10.2 Vehicle parking is parking your vehicle ontop of a person
in order to kill them. This is strictly prohibited, and punished
with prison time as well.
10.3 There is an exception for this rule: If law enforcement are
in a pursuit or training, they may PIT or ram the suspect
vehicle to immobilize it.
11.0 Chicken Run
11.1 Chicken running is sprinting in zig-zags while being shot
at to exploit SA:MP's lag issues and avoid being hit.
11.2 Chicken running is forbidden in IC situations, but you may
break this rule in OOC events (paintball, admin events, family
points, etc).
12.0 Quick Swap
12.1 Quick swapping is switching from a weapon to another and
then back to that weapon when you are about to reload. This
exploit allows you to fire a weapon without having to reload,
and is prisonable.
12.2 Quick swapping is forbidden in IC situations, but not in
events where admin permission is given (paintball, OOC events,
family points, etc).
13.0 Crack Shoot
13.1 Crack shooting, also known as "crouch" shooting, is
crouching repeatedly while firing your weapon to shoot faster.
13.2 This exploit is prisonable, commonly known as the "c-bug"
and used with the Desert Eagle.
13.3 Same as chicken running and quick swapping, it is
prohibited in IC scenarios, but sometimes allowed in OOC events
(with admin permission, of course) and paintball.
14.0 Kill on Sight
14.1 Killing on sight is shooting at another player without a
word or any attempt to roleplay it with /me and/or /do.
14.2 In family points, OOC events and paintball, KOS is allowed.
15.0 Pausing/Logging to Avoid
15.1 Pausing or exiting the game to avoid death, roleplay,
arrest or admin punishment is not allowed. It can lead to prison
time and sometimes even a ban.
16.0 Money farm
16.1 Money farming is creating an alternative account in order
to transfer the cash from the refund to your main account and
obtain free money. This exploit is bannable.
