Lacy and Tristan smiled at each other as they sat across from
one another at a hidden table in the best restaurant Jorden City
had to offer. They had just finished watching a musical at the
theater, and tonight was the first evening they'd spent together
since Josh and Leo passed. The waiter walked away with their
drink orders and Lacy smirked.
Lacy. This place is really nice Tristan...
Tristan. It is.. This is my first time trying it... My assistant
recommended it.
Lacy. Well they have really nice taste then.. They have a pond
in the middle of the restaurant.
Tristan turned and laughed a little.
Tristan. That is crazy... I'm glad you agreed to come out with
me tonight though.. I know it's been crazy.
Lacy smiled.
Lacy. Thank you for planning it.. Again.. -smile- Nights like
these really help take my mind off of other stuff.. And this
weekend, my dad wanted to spend with Aeson.. So it all worked
out..
Tristan. See. I know there is a God...
They both laughed a bit.
Tristan. Seriously though... I needed a night away from
everything and everyone..
Lacy smirked slightly.
Lacy. Well. I'm glad I'm not everyone..
Tristan. No ma'am.. You're Lacy Winston.. I think you're my
favorite person to talk to right now..
Lacy smiled.
Lacy. I'm honored... You're a really good person to talk to
too... And I enjoy being around you... Like a breath of fresh
air..

Tristan. It's not easy, you know?
Lacy. What?
Tristan. Being interesting for you.
Lacy. What do you mean?
Tristan smiled.
Tristan. Lacy, you're not a regular woman. I got nervous the
first time I asked you out. You're a governor's daughter. That's
not low profile.
Lacy. What about you, Mr. Bordeaux? Hot shot talent agent.
Tristan. Oh, please. I'm hardly known out here.
They laughed at each other.
Tristan. It's nice, though. To have somebody who can make put my
phone down. You make me forget the chaos, too.
Tristan leaned over and held Lacy's hand in his. She blushed
slightly as he smiled at her.
Tristan. I have something to ask you.
Lacy. What's up?
Tristan. I'm taking a trip home soon to handle some business for
my parents. I would love to have you on my arm while I'm there.
Lacy stared at Tristan and he smiled.
Tristan. No pressure, okay? Like I said, I want you on my arm
for the events and of course to meet my family while we're
there. But, if you don't want to, then you don't have
to.[/center]

Lacy smiled.
Lacy. No.. It sounds fun... I would love to see the people
Tristan Bordeaux came from..
Tristan smiled harder at her.
Tristan. Really?
Lacy nodded as she smiled too.
Lacy. I've never been to New Chartres.
Tristan. Really?
Lacy nodded.
Lacy. It sounds like a fun trip..
They both looked at each other and smiled.. The two of the
continued to enjoy dinner as they shared stories from their
childhood. She genuinely enjoyed being around Tristan because he
gave her a chance to be herself again, and she appreciated it.
Once they finished dinner, they made their way out of the
restaurant as she held onto his arm while they laughed with each
other.
Tristan. She beat the mess out of me for that..
Lacy shook her head.
Lacy. See.. You sound like my brother Lamar.. He was always into
stuff...
Tristan. Aww. I wasn't always into stuff though. I was just...
They both looked at each other.
Lacy. Into stuff..
Tristan. Yeah.. I was...
They both laughed as the valet opened the door for her. She slid
into the car as he walked around the side. She smiled to herself
at what a good time she had, and she realized she had that
feeling again. He slid in the car and she smiled again lighter
than before as he looked over at her still smiling.
Tristan. You ready?
Lacy nodded.
He started off in the direction of her house while she thought
about this warm fuzzy feeling that had began to stir. Although
she still missed Amir, she couldn't help but appreciate Tristan
for helping her through her hard time.
She glanced over at him as he said the words to the song on the
radio. She watched as his mouth moved then she took a hard look
at his facial features from the angle she had. She began to get
lost in her thoughts about him until he glanced over at her. She
watched as he smiled and his dimples appeared.
Tristan. You alright?
Lacy smiled lightly back and nodded.
Lacy. Yeah... I'm fine.. I just.. I had a really good time
tonight with you...
Tristan glanced over at her again and smiled.
Tristan. Well I'm glad..
Lacy nodded.
Lacy. Me too..
She looked at him a little longer then she looked out of the
window. "He's going to think I'm crazy.." She thought about how
comfortable he made her feel, and how patient and sweet he had
been to her since they first met at the wedding. She had no idea
what she was getting herself into or what would happen or what
had happened for that matter, but she knew she had that feeling
again and it was one that she never thought she'd have again,
and it wasn't something that she could take lightly...
