       Verochka Königin
She was in the library surprisingly early in the semester, but
she knew she had to check things out or risk being behind after
       the first day of class.
"Damn American television. Can't keep up with it online..." Not
if she wanted a life, anyway.
But the Ramsey Library always got things on-disk as soon as they
could, and always had the seasons she'd missed of her fashion
shows by the end of the summer.
"Ah, Gott sei dank..." She really should ask her parents to make
a small donation. Even if some of the fashion magazines lacked,
they always had the TV shows. It really was quite extraordinary.
She walked towards the nearest computer, intending on watching
at least one episode right there, before remembering that she
needed to check the actual disks out first. She turned around
and headed back up to the front, almost tripping over her own
       feet.

OOC: GUESS WHAT PHOENIX WANTED TO WEAR

       Thomas "Phoenix" Hutchinson
It was Phoenix's habit to visit the library when he was lonely.
Chevy had been at dance practice, and he'd usually wait, but
today he had skipped over to find some friends. Jumping through
the door in his long patchwork coat earned him a look from the
lady and the infodesk that morphed into her rolling her eyes. He
just smiled. He wasn't being too loud -- this was the groupwork
       area.
His project just happened to be having too much fun for a
building known to be for studying.
Walking on his tiptoes for a few steps, he grinned and waved at
a few people who were clearly occupied with a study group that
didn't include him. Then turned and saw a few people with
earphones in who just smiled politely. Why was everyone so busy
right now? He didn't like it. Well, sort of, he liked them being
productive and doing well in school. That was good. But he
wanted to spend some time with his friends -- and, by his
friends, he meant pretty much anyone at the school who would
have him around. Sighing audibly, he danced over to the infodesk
to smile at the lady running it, trying to chat her up, to no
       avail.
She was working. Not interested in talking.
Giving up, Phoenix turned to see a girl start to trip, so he
swooped in, tilting his head as he smiled at her, putting a hand
on her shoulder. "Hey Vera, sweetie!" he said smoothly, patting
her cheek playfully. "How goes it?"

OOC: Vera thanks Phoenix for always being the brightest thing in
the room. My god, that is amazing. Thank you. BIC:

She walked towards the nearest computer, intending on watching
at least one episode of her fashion shows right there, before
remembering that she needed to check the actual disks out first.
She turned around and headed back up to the front, almost
       tripping over her own feet.
She would have fallen, too, if Phoenix hadn't turned up at just
the right moment, catching her and helping her regain her
       footing.
"Hey Vera, sweetie!" he said, patting her cheek playfully. "How
       goes it?"
"Phoenix!" she said, rolling her eyes as he patted her cheek.
"I'm alright. I need to catch up on my shows." She waved the
DVD's at him. Then she caught sight of what he was wearing and
did a double-take, backing up a few paces to fully see it, as he
       was much taller than her.
"Ok, you seriously love bright colors, huh? Turn around for me."
The outfit was vaguely familiar, although she couldn't quite
place it. "That's a Whovian--er, Dr. Who-- outfit, isn't it?"
she queried, smiling. The style looked right. It didn't quite
fit his face, in her opinion, but that was easy to overlook when
it was Phoenix. And she had to remind herself that not everyone
wore clothes like they were being paid for it. In fact most
       people didn't.
"I love it, anyway. How've you been?" He was one of the few
people she regretted losing contact with this past summer, but
between the time difference and the fact that she hadn't kept a
regular sleep schedule the entire break, she'd barely been on a
computer to confirm summer projects, let alone check her e-mail.
"Sorry I've been so off-the-grid, my summer was busy."

Vera rolled her eyes, only making him giggle. "I'm alright. I
need to catch up on my shows." He jumped up and down, putting
his hands on his face as she held up her choices.
"Oh! Oh! Oh! Those look cute!"
But she seemed a bit distracted, her eyes drawn to his coat.
"Ok, you seriously love bright colors, huh?" He nodded
       enthusiastically. "Turn around for me."
His face lit up with a wide grin as he moved back and threw his
arms out, spinning smoothly. "Cute, isn't it? My mama made it
       for me!"
       "That's a Whovian--er, Dr. Who-- outfit, isn't it?"
He nodded again. "Sixth Doctor. Sassy fashion man." He winked.
"Never overlook a man with a sense of style and a mouth on him,
that's my rule of thumb. That's why I love my Chevy." Phoenix
shrugged slightly, his smile tilting. "Some people seem to think
       it's a bit much, though."
"I love it, anyway. How've you been?" she asked, making him hum
happily and hook his arm with hers.
"Mostly been looking after the twins. But also watching a lot of
Doctor Who! It makes me happy." He closed his eyes to smile
widely. "I've been so lonely! I missed everybody." He leaned
over to kiss her cheek dramatically, pursing his lips. "You
       didn't talk to me much."
"Sorry I've been so off-the-grid, my summer was busy."
He tilted his head to the side curiously. "Oh? What'd you do,
       busy little she-elf?"

"Oh! Oh! Oh! Those look cute!" Phoenix was going to gush over
her DVD's, but she'd already moved on, her eyes caught by his

"Ok, you seriously love bright colors, huh?" He nodded
enthusiastically, making her smile a little bit. "Turn around

"It's wonderful!" she replied, respect for his mother
       increasing. "That's a Whovian--er, Dr. Who-- outfit, isn't it?"
He nodded again. "Sixth Doctor. Sassy fashion man." He winked.

"Psh, what do they know about anything being too much? I love
it, anyway. How've you been?" she asked, making him hum happily
and hook his arm with hers. She giggled. That was the Phoenix
       she remembered.
"Mostly been looking after the twins. But also watching a lot of
Doctor Who! It makes me happy." He closed his eyes and smiled
widely. "I've been so lonely! I missed everybody." He leaned
over to kiss her cheek dramatically, pursing his lips. She
laughed, but tried to muffle the sounds. The last thing she
wanted was to be kicked out. "You didn't talk to me much."
"Sorry I've been so off-the-grid, my summer was busy." She'd
barely been able to confirm her summer projects from work on a
regular basis, let alone check her e-mail.
He tilted his head to the side curiously. "Oh? What'd you do,
       busy little she-elf?"
"I got a few commissions, and there were a few shows I got to
help out with. Nothing too big, but big enough. It's a good
thing I thrive on action, you know." She was maybe exaggerating
a bit. The shows hadn't been bigger than regional. Although
working with a company on a regular basis was heady, on-floor
repair seamstress or not. The most stressful, and least wanted
job, always given to the newbies to see what their burnout level
was. She'd passed. "Might have a job lined up for next summer,
too. Just gotta keep up, and all. But the rush is over, I get to
hang out and have a little fun with you for now." She beamed up
at him, trying to keep pace with his long legs, half-wishing he
was single. And swung her way.
If he hadn't been Chevy's when they'd met, and if she hadn't
still been so raw over her last relationship, she'd have gone to
lengths to make sure he'd never leave her side. He was one of
the few people she could just be happy around--she'd rarely
gotten even remotely angry around him, which was a fairly rare
occurrence. "Maybe next year I'll have time to take a couple
photos from the shows and send them to you."
This interaction is officially and mutually CLOSED and this
       location is now open.
