Potter Westing
It was finally the weekend and Mel was absolutely, under no
conditions, not speaking to him. Honestly? It was bound to be
the most relaxing weekend he'd had in a very long time. Sure, he
had a bunch of homework and, now that he'd been officially cast
a Sweeney Todd, quite a few lines to learn, but it was nothing
he couldn't handle. He glanced over his script one more time
before tucking it away and picking at his lunch.

Trent Fisher
The patio was relatively empty at the moment. Unusual, but he
figured it was the weather. The temperature wasn't quite right
for most, he supposed. IT was fine for him, though, and the
handful of other people frequenting the spot today. Trent
brought his lunch out there, finding an oasis at a little empty
table and pulled out his tablet. He plugged in his headphones
and turned up the music, using the downtime today to multitask.
The plan was to knock out his research report on Dolly the Sheep
and send it in. Once he was done with that, he could do what he
wanted. What exactly he wanted to do was still up in the air,
but he hated any extra work hanging over his head. Trent would
rather have the vague sense of free time with no plans than to
be bogged down with work.
He still needed one final source for his paper. He pulled up the
browser and began to type in the address of the database when
the error appeared: Error (00050001, 00020006).
Trent scowled at the screen. Having just taken a giant bite of
his food, the glare resembled an angry chipmunk. He rolled his
eyes, turned the tablet off and on again, and waited. The
message appeared again. "Are you kidding me?" he growled at the
electronic. Could these machines have any more possibly vague
error messages? A string of numbers told him nothing. He sighed.
This wouldn't be a problem if he'd had his phone. Then he could
google the error message and fix it himself. But since the
tablet had wifi, he hadn't bothered to pocket his phone.
And he wasn't so much concerned about the paper as he was about
his tablet being on the fritz. He used that more than his phone
or laptop combined. Eager to resolve the issue, Trent glanced
around for someone to bum a phone off of for a bit.
"Hey, man," he said, walking over to a guy at a table just a
couple of spaces over. "My tablet's bugging out. Can I run the
error code on your phone?"

Potter Westing
Okay, maybe he felt more than a little guilty about getting the
part. He couldn't help but wince a little when he glanced at the
script, knowing that Mel would probably literally beat him with
it the next time she saw him. Rolling his eyes, he looked over
the opening number one more time, the song playing out in his
head.
"Hey, man. My tablet's bugging out. Can I run the error code on
your phone?" Potter looked up, swallowing his mouthful of food
and shrugging one shoulder.
"Huh? Yeah, sure." He fished his new phone out of his pocket and
passed it over to the guy. He grimaced a little, remembering
that he'd never figured out how to fix his background after Mel
thought it would be a fantastic idea to set it herself.

/>Groaning inwardly, he shut his script and returned to his meal
.

Trent Fisher
"Hey, man. My tablet's bugging out. Can I run the error code on
your phone?"
The guy looked up and gave a half shrug. "Huh? Yeah, sure."
He passed it over, the screen unlocked so that Trent could use
it. On the background was the guy carrying some blonde girl
piggy-back style. They looked like twins, and Trent assumed as
much. He gave a quiet snicker, then pulled up Google as he
walked back to his table. A quick check got him answers-- it was
an internal hardware issue. Awesome.
Trent wasn't sure he knew how to fix that. Software wasn't too
terrible, because if he didn't know how to fix it, he usually
knew someone who could. But hardware was a pain, especially for
a tablet, because you either had the parts to fix it, or you
didn't. Or you shipped it off to some sketchy place for weeks
while they "fixed" it. He frowned, closing out the browser and
walking the phone back over to its owner.
"No luck, but thanks, anyway." He set the phone on the table
top. Part of him wanted to ask about the girl and if they were
actually twins or not, but really, it wasn't his business, and
his conversation with this guy was over now. The tablet was
done, the phone was now useless to him and returned to its
owner, and that was that. Even so, he tacked on jocularly, "Nice
wallpaper." If that was his twin, Trent could guess that was a
regular thing-- attack the sibling and make them look like an
imbecilic pack animal as you immortalized the moment in
photographs. Or just attacking the sibling in general.
