OOC: The routine he is working on:

Chevy Dawsom
Sighing tiredly, Chevy scrubbed a hand over his face and hit
play on the stereo. The opening notes of "Thrift Shop" echoed
around the hollow studio for a few seconds before he heard his
cue and began to shake his hips, stepping one foot out and
moving it to the rhythm. He'd been at this for hours, perfecting
the movements that would surround him and his partner during the
homecoming half-time show. This was one of the most complicated
routines that he'd attempted and, as of late, his team had
suddenly become one comprised completely of limber females with
two left feet.
His entire body ached and his sweat soaked t-shirt had been
stripped off and flung across the room at least 45 minutes
prior. The smell of sweat seemed to ooze from the walls, creep
out between the mirrors and drowned him in the uncomfortable
scent. His feet were blistering and his stomach grumbled loudly,
but he wouldn't relent. He ran the routine again and again,
until his spine felt as if it'd been ripped from his body and
mangled before being replaced... and then he'd run it again.

OOC: Phoenix has been wearing this

He wasn't sure how long Chevy had been away, but it had been too
long.
Sighing heavily, he opened up the door to the studio, hearing
music blasting through the room, echoing off the walls and
filling him up with the recognizable beat. Phoenix smiled, his
eyes catching on Chevy's carefully controlled form, exposed and
sweaty. He stood out of the way for a moment, subconsciously
moving slightly to mimic his boyfriend's movements.
Dance was just something that Chevy did so incredibly well.
Yeah, Phoenix could dance if he really needed to, but it mostly
only elicited laughter. While he had no problem with making
people laugh, he knew he didn't awe people as much as Chevy did.
He was doing what he loved to do, what he did best, and it shone
through him like stage lights. And it looked so natural, the
fluid steps of someone who could barely walk without a rhythm to
their gait.
Moving over, he placed a hand on the stereo, smirking over at
Chevy. He would've loved to run out there and at least attempt
to dance too, but this was business dancing. There was no
getting in the way of Chevy when he meant business. The song
finally ended, and Phoenix shut off the stereo, crossing his
arms over his chest.
"Time's up, beauty queen. We're going home now."

Chevy Dawsom
His muscles were burning, sweat gliding down the dip between his
abs and pooling in the dimples at the base of his spine. He
could barely hear the music over the thudding of his heart and
it was sure he was going to stumble over his own feet and mess
everything up. His limbs felt heavy, shaking legs supporting
swaying hips and the muscles in his arms screaming at him as he
held them out.
Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.
There was movement by the door, but he didn't have time to look,
that would mess everything up. Part of him questioned why on
earth he had ever decided to become captain of the dance team,
but just beyond the burning ache that ripped through him, there
was the feeling of right that settled in the pit of his stomach.
This is what he did; he danced, he performed, he pleased. The
music pounded in his blood, roaring like white water rapids
through his veins. If he could do anything, this would be it.
Just as the song began to end, he poised himself in the starting
position again, waiting patiently for it to loop back around
again.
"Time's up, beauty queen. We're going home now." A smile tugged
at Chevy's lips at the voice, one he was very used to hearing
over his blood pounding in his ears. The butterflies in his
stomach kicked up and he moved over to grab his shirt, wiping
the sweat from his face before dropping it again. He turned to
his boyfriend, extending his hands.
"Not yet," he mumbled, wrinkling his nose, "You should dance
with me first."

He watched Chevy for a long moment as the music stopped before
adamantly demanding that they leave now. Chevy slowly reacted, a
knowing smile on his face that sent a hot feeling up the back of
Phoenix's neck. He didn't say anything, though, choosing to move
past Phoenix and get his shirt instead, mopping the sweat on his
face before letting the shirt fall again. Phoenix clicked his
tongue chastisingly.
"You'll need that. At least til we get back."
Chevy held his hands out and Phoenix sighed, rolling his eyes.
"Come on, honey. Time to go."
"Not yet," he said, his voice low and childish. "You should
dance with me first."
Phoenix laughed, cupping Chevy's cheek and leaning in to kiss
him softly. "Dancing is your forte, not mine."
Also, Chevy looked exhausted. It wasn't abnormal for the dance
captain to work himself to death trying to get everything
exactly right. Yes, doing well was always important. Phoenix
understood that, he knew the stage too. But there was also such
things as being a workaholic and not giving enough time to rest
between running an act. The body was a delicate thing, and
Chevy's had seen a bit too much wear and tear as it was. It was
about time he learned to take care of himself.
"You need rest, sweetie."

"You'll need that. At least til we get back."
"I don't wanna," he pouted, nudging his shirt a little further
away in protest, as he reached out for his boyfriend.
"Come on, honey. Time to go."
"Not yet," he said, his voice low and childish. "You should
dance with me first." Chevy leaned into the kiss, smiling warmly
and dipping his head to steal another, equally soft one before
shaking off Phoenix's objections.
"Aw, please, baby? Just one dance." He pushed, wrapping his arms
around his boyfriend's waist.
"You need rest, sweetie." Chevy frowned a bit and ducked his
head a little to press kisses up the side of Phoenix's neck.
"Just one, Liam. One and then I will let you take me home and
put me to bed."

Phoenix laughed, welcoming Chevy's embrace and arms around him,
and the sweet kisses on his neck. "You don't play fair," he
complained, resting his hands on Chevy's shoulders. Sighing
heavily, he tilted his head a bit to give Chevy a better angle,
smiling softly.
"Just one, Liam. One and then I will let you take me home and
put me to bed."
Raising an amused eyebrow, Phoenix shrugged slightly. "Alright,
if you promise." Looking over at the stereo, then back at Chevy,
Phoenix bit his lip a bit. "So, uh, I don't know what kind of
dancing you mean..."

"Just one, Liam. One and then I will let you take me home and
put me to bed." he murmured, pressing a kiss behind Phoenix's
ear and digging his fingers into the blond's hips. Phoenix
tipped his head and Chevy couldn't help but smirk.
"Alright, if you promise." Phoenix moved his head and Chevy
frowned, pulling back to watch him glance over at the stereo.
"So, uh, I don't know what kind of dancing you mean..." The dark
haired boy grinned and gave his boyfriend a long, deep kiss
before moving away and pressing a couple buttons on the stereo.
A familiar tune drifted around the room, one that caused a
shiver to run up Chevy's spine. It was the song he'd sang to
Phoenix on their first, real date.
"When your tears are spent on your last pretense, and your tired
eyes refuse to close and sleep in your defense. When it's in
your spine like you've walked for miles and the only thing you
want is just to be still for a while." he sang along, moving to
wrap his arms around Phoenix's waist and leaning in close so
that his lips brushed the other boy's ear.
