       Eli Broderick
Eli smiled nervously as the cab pulled up to the imposing
looking building that he would be spending the next 9 months of
his life in. He slipped 3 bills too many into the drivers hand
and slid his backpack onto one shoulder, before opening the door
and swallowing hard. He only had one leg out of the cab when he
knocked his head against the door frame and nearly tumbled out
of the vehicle, reaching out to grab the door and laughing off
the injury as he climbed the rest of the way out of the car.
Ducking back in, he narrowly avoided colliding with the door
again as he grabbed his soccer ball and waved to the driver,
       before shutting the door.
He narrowed his eyes, tossing his ball up in the air and
catching it as he made his way toward Albert Hall, shaking his
head at the line of people and swerving suddenly, making a
beeline for an empty portion of grass a few feet from the line.
He dribbled the ball between his feet, shrugging off his
backpack and dropping it near a tree, wincing as it lands with a
thunk that reminds him his laptop is inside. Thirty-two minutes
later, the line begins to dwindle down as he kicks the ball back
and forth, before scooping it and his back up and entering the
       building.
"Good morning," he greets, tipping his head toward one of the
women at the check in desk as he accepts the stack of papers and
moves over to fill them out against a wall. It wasn't long
before he was handing back all six forms, his name scribbled on
every sheet, and he received his key. He opted to take the
stairs, all twenty-four-- twenty-two if he hadn't tripped and
stumbled back down two of them--to the second floor. He glanced
around briefly, soccer ball tucked under his arm, before moving
down the hallway to his room and rattling the doorknob, pouting
a bit when it is locked. After a moment of searching, and three
paces backwards where he had dropped his key, he moved to his
door again, unlocking it and pushing it open eagerly.
"Home sweet home," he mumbled, plopping down onto the closest
bed and digging his phone out of his pocket.

       Evan Andrews
Evan glanced at the clock as he pulled his car into his reserved
parking spot and took his key out of the ignition. The car, and
the parking spot, had been a gift from his parents when he
       enrolled into Halesworth.
He had wanted to be early and unpack, but he had just had enough
time to register for a room and get his key before he had to go
help his scatter-brained twin move in to her own dorm. That took
the entire morning. And as soon as they were done, Ella had
complained she was hungry, but didn't want to eat alone, and
then she forgot which room she was in.
Finally, he managed to get away from his clingy sibling and get
to his own dorm. Since it was so late in the afternoon most of
the other students had finished moving in, so the elevator was
empty as Evan carried his laptop bag and medium-sized suitcase
       up to his dorm.
When the elevator slid open for the second floor, he was hit by
a wall of various music and chattering coming from the opened
doors of the moved-in and relaxing students.
Evan hoped it wouldn't always be this loud. He could already
       feel a headache coming on.
He stopped in front of room 204, and fished his keys out of his
pocket. But when he reached for the doorknob he found it was
already unlocked, which meant his roommate was already here.
opened the door and stepped inside, looking around as he shut
       the door behind himself.

       Eli Broderick
Eli hummed to himself, dancing around the bathroom as he dried
of his hair after a much needed hot shower. He hated planes with
every fiber of his being, he hated the close proximity and the
small airplane restrooms. Cringing, he tugged his shirt over his
head and tightened his belt before stepping out of the bathroom.
"Oh! Hey!" he greeted as a blond boy entered the room, shutting
the door behind him. "I'm Eli, but that's--uh--on the door. You
must be Evan, 'cause that's also on the door. Anyway, welcome
aboard!" He smiled brightly, moving over to plop down on his bed
and tuck his hands behind his head. "So, are you from around
here? This place is insane!" Sighing heavily, he closed his eyes
and smiled a little to himself.
"I'm a little accident prone, just so you know." He started,
glancing over at Evan briefly. "And I tend to set things on
fire, not on purpose or anything... I can't use the stove or
anything. And the microwaves a little bit iffy. Its cool though,
my grandma has this rule that I can only eat sandwiches, fresh
produce, or prepackage foods-- wait, scratch that, sandwiches
and fresh produce only. She changed it after I kept paper
cutting my palms on Ramen noodle packages."
