       Description : Duraisingam (surya) is
       the sub inspector of the nallore
       police station, a small town. He leads
       a straight forward, happy, peaceful
       life in his town. Everyone in the
       town respect him. He has actually
       joined the police department to
       fulfill his father's dream but still he
       works whole heartedly. Directly in
       contrast to it in chennai,
       mayilvaganam (prakashraj) does all
       kinds of attrocities from katta
       panchayathu to kidnapping and
       walks away happily with no one
       questioning him. As the film
       progresses due to the outcome of
       few incidents duraisingam and
       mayilvaganam meet headon in the
       small town and the game starts.
       Unable to face durai in his own town
       mayilvaganam gets him tranferred
       to chennai to continue the singam vs
       mayil game and what happens next
       forms therest of the story.Unlike
       other recent mass entertainers this
       film has a gripping screenplay that
       has us glued to the screen and also
       proves mostof our guesses wrong till
       the end. There are places in the film
       when we feel its a bit sloppy but
       very soon there is a twist and all the
       sloppiness vanishes. Thanks to hari
       for that. Anuska plays surya's love
       interest in the movie. She has scope
       for performance in the film and has
       done well too. Vivek as eari mallai
       does make us laugh at many points
       in the film but is not at his usual
       best. Radharavi, nasser, manorama,
       boss have all done a good job. Songs
       are hearable but could have been
       shot a bit differently. Group dances,
       usual sets, normal locations doesn't
       make them note worthy. The re-
       recording suits the film very well.
