Bear with me , I'll be back in the fold as soon as possible.
Unfortunately , crap in the Middle East has been keeping me
       busy.

Sure. Real Life comes first, but it will be good to have your
input. Haegan is good for helping me fix any logic holes, but
another military mind reading the rules would be most excellent!
       ;D

I know I've been quiet for quite a while, and I'm sorry for
       that. Real life things etc.
If you'll have me, I'd like to get back into GPI. Been wanting
to give it a try for a while now, plus there's a hex mapper I've
been using a bit lately which has given me some inspiration.

I can map anywhere from planetary to tactical scale along with
cities, roads, rivers and forts pretty quickly. Maps are
important for this genre of game, and it's pretty fun to make
'em so I won't run out of ideas anytime soon. I'm also happy to
       proofread the rules as always.
Anyways, I know this is kinda out of the blue but lemme know
       what you think.

Bud, I welcome you & your map-making skills and input!
Do you remember the China-Japan map you were labeling? Well, it
turns out that Gav and Haegan both wanted me to change over to
hexes instead of Grid squares. So, if you can create the maps we
need it would be most welcome.
However, the first game has been changed to Eastern Europe and a
different set of rules. Why this new rewrite was needed.
So, if you are interested, please jump onto Skype during the
day. I will be on from 12PM CST, on.
       Cheers, Thor

Just gonna drop this little WIP map here. Figured I might as
well do all of Europe. Still plenty of work to do(rivers,
cities, roads, coastlines, borders, terrain types etc), but it's
       a start.

English Isles look a bit derpy, I'll have to fix that.

I know it has been a while since I posted, but I wanted to let
the GPI forum users that things were still happening, just out
       of sight.
I just finished up the rules for Influence and Popular Support
in the Final War Rules. Below are the examples used. :)
       Example:
In the unconventional Recovery Segment the Polish player, Who is
rebelling against Soviet oppression, calculates that he has 270
Influence in the nation of East Germany and as such he will
receive one production point for free. Knowing that that is not
enough to be of any use, he decides to purchase 4 more at the
cost of 5 Influence per production point. The Polish player
reduces his influence in East Germany by 20 to 250, and adds 5
       PP's to his PP pool.
NOTE: if a player's influence drops below an influence level
watershed he no longer gets the benefits. So make sure that you
REALLY need to spend the influence before doing so.
       Example:
To continue the above example, the Polish Player, over the
course of the turn, has gained 10 influence in Poland itself.
The Current Popular Support level in Poland is 50, not many
Poles yet support the rebellion against the Soviet Union. So, it
will cost the Polish player 9 Influence to raise the Popular
       Support by one point.
NOTE: At lower support levels it is more cost efficient to gain
popular support by running missions to acquire them in the home
nation. However, the ones purchased may be the last few needed
to gain another influence watershed level.
Also, here is an example from another part of the Unconventional
       War Rules.
       Unconventional Conflict Example
The Soviet player decides to combine his Spetznaz Brigade, which
is a Special Operations Group, and a KGB Border Guard Brigade,
which is a Conventional Unit, to form one Unconventional Attack
with a total Unconventional strength of ‘7' to Attack the
Anti-Communist Insurgent and Rebel Netrunner in Krakow. The
Soviet player rolls the dice and throws 2D10 for a total of 9.
Looking at the Unconventional Conflict Results Table and
cross-indexing the strength ‘7’ attack with a dice roll of ‘8,’
the result is a Defection. The Soviet player now has a decision,
he could Neutralize one Rebel unit of his choice, Recruit an
Unconventional unit available in the Recruitment Pool, or cause
one Rebel unit of his choice to Defect to the Soviet side.
The Soviet player decides to flip the Rebel Netrunner unit,
which he immediately uses to launch its own Unconventional
Attack on the ‘3’ column of the same Table. He rolls the dice
and this time gets an ‘16'. That results in a Riot, which causes
a Soviet Militia Patrol unit to be placed in a hex adjacent to
       Krakow.
Feeling confident, the Soviet Player has his new Militia Patrol
unit conduct an Unconventional Attack, with its Unconventional
Rating of ‘3’. The dice roll result is a ‘20’, which is a
Backlash result, plus a roll of Doubles. Applying the Backlash
result first, the Rebel Player places an Insurgent in a hex
adjacent to Warsaw, and gains 2 Influence Points, which is the
value of Poland. Next, the Doubles result is applied and the
Rebel player, having the fewest Unconventional units in Poland,
draws one Insurgent unit from the recruitment pool. The Soviet
Player decides to end his Unconventional attacks in Poland for
       this Player Turn.
       Cheers, Thor

How are the space rules coming along? IIRC you were adapting
       them from the naval rules?
