Alright, end of year report. The only thing I regret in my
setup (aside from stupidly overlooking kicker rockets) Is taking
as much money and IUUS as I did, in retrospect I think I'd have
taken more RPs, but aside from that, i think everything's going
well so far.
So far in the year I've been pretty quiet. Just a few launched,
working out a few of the areas where things hadn' been done
right by myself. (Like planning a mission without people to
construct the space station I wanted to put up!) On an orbital
docking mission one of the two space planes I sent up had an
error, but luckily there weren't any casualties, and I've
successfully landed on the moon! The only thing I think might
be missing is something in the docs that says you should
probably have muuuuuch more RPs than IUUs or WUs, especially
early on.

Well, that is what a FAQ is for. Feel like beginning one? ;)
As for mistakes, from my point of view, as the GM/Designer, is
that you have ignored training your 'Nauts. You have trained a
few. Personally, as you can see in the NASA sheet, any 'Naut who
was not assigned to a mission was in training. They all need
training in some respect.
To ignore their training cuts down on your flexibility in
positions in the missions you can assign them. The better
trained they are, the more positions they can be assigned to.
Along with creating back redundancies in your flight rotation.
;D

Well, as I'm sure you can see, I've taken some of your advice.
Every 'naut not on a mission is in training. I think that's
going well enough! :D
I've also got much more going on, along with repeated Orb sats,
there's more research, more LCs being built. I may not have
taken as many RPs as I'd liked, but that does give me a big
budget to get other things going.
As for a FAQ, gosh, I wouldn't know where to start!

Good man! You are learning! ;D
As for a FAQ, List some questions that you feel others would
ask. Like your question from earlier. The I will answer them.
Just like the FAQ for BTS!. :)

RP are the limiter in this game, more so then any other
resource. It is far too easy to spend them all in the first few
months once you get going and then be stuck only launching
missions later on. Worse is if you spend the RP on the wrong
item. it can delay everything for a year.

Yep, and with Lunar costs so high, it can delay things a lot
longer! So planning is key.
What I suggest is to design the basic stations and outposts that
you want. Then plan your initial R&D effort to obtain the HW
necessary to achieve those goals.
Once you have the needed basic design HW in development, you can
now then think about expansion. :)
