Super Moon Total Lunar Eclipse

Did anybody else on GPI besides me see the Super Bloodmoon last
night? The Astronomy nerd in me was geeking out! ;D Let me
describe how I saw it.
I went out at 8:54 CDT to watch Luna slide into the Total
Eclipse. It was about 69 degrees Fahrenheit, with a light breeze
of around 5 mph, blowing in a south by southeast direction.
There was a wood fire burning upwind somewhere, so the smell of
wood smoke was on the breeze. Add to this there was an Owl
softly hooting in the woods behind my house. With the shadow of
the earth slowly crawling across the face of Luna, with the
reddish tint growing, it could have been a scene right out of a
Gothic horror novel! I was loving the ambiance!
Then it happened, the last light of Sol was gone, and the bloody
moon was shining in all of its glory! I stood there for another
ten minutes and then went back inside. The Astronomy geek in me
was satisfied that I had witnessed a rare astronomical event,
right in my own front yard! ;D
Anybody else have any tales of their Bloodmoon viewing
experience they wish to share?
Cheers, Thor
