       Battlefields, NPC commands
By: Ghettoicedtea Date: December 4, 2014, 2:34 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
So since theres a massive civil war going on, players should be
allowed to participate in the war. To go to the front lines, you
join the military, go to a base, talk to an NPC and get on a
truck that takes you to the front. Once you are on the front
lines there are a TON of NPCs entrenched in treches since this
is a stalemate. Every eh 4 minutes one group of 10-50 NPCs
advance forwards to attack. They keep on moving forward until
they reach the next trech, then they stop. NPCs respawn in the
cities and every 7 minutes 4 trucks carrying 20 NPCs each moves
to the front line. In those trucks there are multiple kind of
NPCs each doing their own role. NPCs stop, and shoot on the
sight of another NPC or player of the opposite faction, when
they become out of range they follow them.
       NPC types
       Soldiers
Special Forces, soldiers that carry more advanced weapons such
       as carbines
Snipers, engage enemies from super long ranges
       Machine Gunners
Radio men- call in artillery strikes
Assault Troops- have more health than normal soldiers and carry
       flamethrowers
(enemy only), Artillery guy, throws a flare and after 5 seconds
a 15 round artillery barrage will come at that spot with massive
       spread on it.
Each truck carries 10 soldiers, 1 sniper, 3 machine gunners, 1
radio guy, 2 assault troops and 3 spec forces
Another feature is to take NPCs and control them via commands.
You can command NPCs with different commands you type into the
player chat if they are in your range. You may only command a
total of 10 NPCs at once. Once you die the NPCs will not follow
       you any more.
Fall in, gathers the nearest people to come to you into your
       command circle
On me, NPCs will follow you
Spread out, NPCs will follow you but they will be spread out.
Hold, NPCs will stop and pause where they are, will not follow
       you.
Artillery Strike, a crosshair will pop up on your screen and
when you click a barrage of 7 artillery rounds will happen 5
seconds later and the radio guy will say requesting artillery
support at (cordinates) the mouse cordinates that you clicked.
You can call in artillery every 45 second
Fall out, all NPCs will leave your command and are no longer
       controllable.
To gain money on the battlefield it goes by taxes. For every
district taken by your faction, you are rewarded 5$ per minute
that goes into your bank account you can access at the military
base. You are also rewarded 30$ for any enemy you kill, 10000$
for every district captured, 15$ for every vehicle destroyed,
and 1000$ for every trench taken.
To capture a trench you must kill every single enemy in the
trenches + have your faction in those trenches and hold it for 2
minutes. After 2 minutes the NPCs in the back trench will
advance and hop into the new trench and then hop into the new
       trench.
       NPC spawnings
every 4 minutes a truck with 20 NPCs will arrive to the front
line and deploy troops. Every 8 minutes 2 tanks, and 4 mechs
will appear and advance towards the enemy trench. After every 4
minutes a group of 20 NPCs, 1 tank, and 2 mechs will advance
       towards the front line.
       Vehicles
Yes you may drive the tanks and mechs. However NO you may not
control NPCs in them because that would be way to easy and you
       would steam role through everyone.
       Capturing towns/cities.
To capture one of these, you must bypass all the trench systems,
go into the city and clear the capital building. When you clear
the building and raise your flag you capture the district and
the enemies retreat to the next trench in your way. If enemies
counter attack and clear the building, they can take control of
the city and your forces will fall back to the trenches. To get
into a city it requires you to capture 5 trenches. To get into a
town you need to capture the three trenches defending it.
       Capturing Districts
To capture a district you must advance into their capital. To
get into the capital you must bypass 5 towns, 1 city, and 25
trenches. There are a total of 7 trenches defending the capital.
       Trenches/defensive positions.
In here you can find things like cover to block bullets, bunkers
that blocks artillery rounds, beds you can heal with, ammo, and
       NPCs
One more thing, NPCs weapons will have the exact same weapon
stats as you. Remember this is a stalemate, this war is based
off korea and WW1 so advancing is very hard and you will often
       lose the ground you gained.

       YES, WAR!
We NEED to have missions like this, killing NPCs/Bosses
Graal Classic only has text-based missions :(

       [/quote]
No this is not a mission. This is an ongoing thing on the gmap
that you might unfortunatly stumble across or on some random day
you will be minding your own buisnuess and somehow NPCs manage
to overrun the trenches and defenses and start a seige on where
you live forcing you to either flee or fight.
The civil war is an on going conflict that you can fight real
time in and try to either live in wartime conditions, or fight
on the fronts. If somehow a side manages to conquer everything,
they get a conquest point and everything resets back to the way
it was, fighting along the parallel.
Also no to bosses. With NPCs with exact same weapon and health
stats as you, every NPC will feel like your taking on a boss
considering how it takes 2 hits with a basic rifle and only 1.6
seconds to kill someone and the fact that bullets go very fast,
also if the aiming system gets implaced, theres no
Running and gunning so you will be very immobile. So with that
being said, its going to be impossible to take on a whole army
of NPCs alone like in most other graal games.
Also keep in mind this is a playerworld. Single player should be
the main focus and not so much multiplayer and pvp since no one
really plays on playerworlds that much. This right here alone
could be a standalone server without the time traveling stuff.

These ideas keeps giving me goose bumps...OO yes!!
but pls take in mind that dnt put the text on NPCs heads like
when we talk in graal servers.
put the text in seperate boxes that pop up.
       iEra got this wrong.

Also I think we should add some boss battles in 1v1. To GIT,
       think about this.
How bout the war can unlock special features like, killing a
certain amount of NPCs unlocks some special weapons Like a
"Revolutionary Carbine" shooting many bullets at a fast pace,
and a "Juggernaut Mini-Pistol" shooting with high damage, low
freeze and a small clip. Maybe after you take a trench a
"Warrior" comes in with high health and one of the guns above.
A metal body suit could also be unlocked making you slightly
slower in combat but giving you higher health. After you die you
respond at a fixed point. Supply boxes could be dropped like
zone, supplying ammo, health boxes, gas bombs and more. When you
fight each warrior your health is fully revived although your
troops are not with you. Each warrior you beat gives you $2,000
Graalats. In your status info. it shows how many troops you have
killed. Options like fight with Clan/gang/squad could also be
used (we need to choose, but keep in mind Gang is widely used
now, it's like... Ol west, era, iEra etc clients)
Matt had said the time travel won't be being used so I guess
your gun list is changed to, that's WHEN the weapons were made,
all the weapons are still, and your list of dates will just be
the history I guess. It's "steampunk"

No bosses. These NPCs are pretty much entirely bosses alone
because they have the same weapon stats as you. Also the
vehicles will already be bosses because they can only be
destroyed with artillery strikes and other vehicles meaning you
must keep the radio guy alive. Artillery is not accurate at all
and its 300 damage if you land an impact hit and i think 65dmg
splash so 365 damage total. Mechs have 300 health and tanks have
       500. Keep in mind when you take a trench your NPCs wont advance
until 2minutes pass and it takes time for them to advance. In
the mean time the other NPCs timer could be up to advance so
they will advance onto the trench for a counter attack.
In the trenchs if you readed the OP there are already supplies
there so supply drops = no. Theres also no aircraft.
Armor im against to because this game is supposed to be hard as
hell and require heavy teamwork tactics. Even if you're speed
was slowed down to like .8, that is still very fast and bullets
will be easy to dodge. Also this is supposed to be a bloodbath.
If you have ever seen stalemates in a war they are bloodbaths.
Look at korea or ww1 those are great examples.
Also keep in mind this is a playerworld. So theres going to
really be no one on. So the main focus should be can you have
fun with only one person? The pvp and multiplayer stuff comes in
       later.
I should have mentioned this in OP but i forgot to mention that
in trenches, there are emplaced marx machine guns that you can
use. These damage vehicles and are highly vulnerable to
explosives and sniper rifles (they also mow down infantry and
you can only stick in one spot while using).

       O
See I thought the NPCs were like zone where they are slow, shoot
off and lazy, and low health.
Laughed at the "game is supposed to be hard as hell" aight I'll
       think some more later.

read the post before doing stuff like that please. Theres no
bosses. End of story. Trust me, this games going to easily be
one off the hardest graal servers out there because it breaks
off from traditional graal tactics and skills wont work well
       here.
Also i agree with the loot droppings. i would like to see basic
guns hammered out and we get a general template before we make
more guns. If i can get a template i can just crank through
those guns so fast and I could have like 50 gun stats ready in
       1-5 days.

       I Know.
I KNOW there's no bosses, I read the "story"
There's also no time travel, none.
Your battlefront idea could be added to a certain area, like my
       alien defense idea.
Alien defense will come in on levels. They will be fast, coming
in on fleets in ships. They will spawn at a far end of the room
(kinda like Eras Zombie Crypt to give you a visual). They have a
fixed health, less than yours because of there numbers. They use
Vivid ( ;) ) Alien Rifles (You can get your own!) with frenzy
accuracy and high speed spam (High Freeze). There are two walls
located on the left and right for cover. Each alien Omega you
kill give you $50. Each Alien Alpha you kill gives you $1000.
Each entire fleet you end gives you $10,000 (keep in mind there
are about 200 Aliens per fleet ship, all spraying hard) You can
use a Medic steamboat at your side, a Challenger SteamBot, Ender
Steambot, Assassin Steambot, or Alien Bot (unlocks at killing 10
Fleets-Can be purchased in the shop in the front of the
       building)
       Medic SteamBot
Has the ability to heal the user at about 5 health per second.
       Challenger SteamBot
This bot is more offensive and gives the user slightly more
speed and +1 damage, but much longer reload.
       Ender SteamBot
This is a Dark Bot that kills foes with a unique gun that only
it has. It can be adjusted and has a a Ender BlunderShot cannon
       dealing 30 damage per bullet ( 2 shots/100 health- 60/100)
       Assassin SteamBot
The Assassin is a prototype bot that uses a samarai sword to
slauter others. It can be controlled using the on-screen
controls while you are protected. It's sword deals 25 damage.
       Same speed as user.
       Alien Bot
This is a highly powerful bot equipped with a Saber (can be
bought in GITs Battlefield shop) and Gatling Gun. Can be
controlled by user and saber skin can be changed.
All bots run of H2O that can be achieved through supply boxes.
       Saber
       Damage-15
       Speed-Fast
       User Speed-Same
       Effects-Can burn the foe
The Gatling guns stats are in GITs spreadsheet.
Thinking of some more items for the shop.
