that's comforting to know :p

Yep! It's going to have all the architecture and urban planning
etc content. Curious to see how this will go for UoM since I
hear that RMIT has a bit of a reputation as a 'design' uni while
UoM is more about research and theoretical stuff (however not
sure if there's truth to this since it's been 4 weeks)

Ugh I don't miss chem at all
What's an MST lol? Not sure if I have those

Hey Tash!
Oh...so UoM will have a BDes from next year? I'm super behind on
my uni work, at least 2 weeks behind (looks like it currently
takes me two weeks to learn and understand my content). Not
surprising as it was kind of the same in VCE for me.

The course content for the subjects I am currently taking are
very very dense
[/quote]
oh what do you guys study?

Engineering and Commerce at Monash. Not sure on majors and
specialisations yet, but I'm probably going to specialise in
Civil Engineering (Traffic/Transport Engineering maybe ???), and
maybe major in Finance, and minor in Economics or Accounting or
something.

100% sure though xD

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. Guess I'll find out soon
enough haha.
Probably Physics. At the moment I'm looking at that being one of
my majors. Not sure on the other one yet. Microbiology sounds
pretty cool!

Environments sounds cool. Don't really know much about it. What
kind of things can you study in it?
Don't worry, I'm behind on work as well aha

just off the top of my head some of the majors are architecture,
urban planning, environmental science, systems engineering,
spatial systems, property, landscape architecture, construction
etc...
it's hard to explain the course to people but it's essentially
about the connections between the built and natural environments
and all the fields within that (hence, environments)
it's a pathway to engineering, but I feel like most people go
the BSc way

From what I understand, its usually used as a pathway to
postgraduate (Masters level) Architecture and Civil Engineering.
I imagine its more design based, than science or maths. However,
like most undergrads, it looks really flexible.

Yeah pretty much but you actually need to do science, maths and
other units for some majors, because I will be (such as
calculus, economics and chemistry) so it's like you're getting a
taste of the BSc in a specialised way?

Thats good though, less contact hours.. Is it true that there
are no tutorials in second year? :)

I joined bio late so I'm still so behind, winging my VCE
knowledge has only gotten me so far... :/ The other is
geology/natural environments which isn't too bad but I'm also
behind in that
