Just randomly popping by to say hello! Feels great to be one of
the first ones here (like DMan) 8) Will most likely be hanging
around here to procrastinate to feel productive about uni :P

Really? My lectures are still surprisingly full. I know I have
mostly first year subjects, but attendance has been about the
same since the start of semester.

Oh wow, feel free to make subject threads on the MBBS board if
you wish.
Hows MBBS going so far for you, is it much harder/stressful than
VCE? What Med field are you hoping to get into?

If I do need, I most certainly will make use of it, thanks :D
Well, the content is a mixture of interesting and not so
interesting stuff (lots of biochem), but it's better than
englang *shivers*. I'll probably say it's harder than VCE simply
due to large amount of content but also personally the
travelling takes quite a bit of time so it's hard to fit in
studying sometimes :/ At the moment, I have no concrete idea as
I don't know what the fields are in depth yet, gonna have to see
in the future!
How's biomed for you? Any ideas what you want to be after
biomed?

Yeah from a friend of mine, MBBS sounds dry and very in-depth..
I guess its worth it in the end. So how does MBSS work, like
after the 4 years you do an internship, and then you find an
actual job?
Biomed is alright so far, struggling with chemistry and maths
though, not my strengths at the moment. Biology is looking good
though, and computing (my breadth) is pretty hard, but it is
doable I guess :)

That's true, according to the second years, it gets much more
interesting in Sem 2 because we get to work on cadavers while
Sem 1 is purely theory. LOL I hope so, honestly I'm going into
this blindly because I wasn't even aiming for med in the first
place :-X I know it's 5 years; 2 years at Clayton then the final
3 at a clinical setting (I think it's pre-clinical years).
Beyond that, I have no idea so I'm not the best person to ask,
sorry :(
Glad to hear biology is working out for you, hope chem and maths
will ease up as you progress ;D Computing sounds quite
interesting, hopefully it'll boost that GPA of yours and that
you can use it for your core subjects :D
